I think Duncan might've been fined had he said his true feelings about that Gasol deal :lol

Great stuff, especially got a kick out of Duncan's answer to the Pau Gasol trade question. One of the most bullshit trades in the history of the NBA.

Duncan: 'It means I'm getting old' (http://blogs.mysanantonio.com/weblogs/courtside/2010/01/duncan-it-means.html)
By Jeff McDonald

Spurs centerpiece Tim Duncan, who needs 94 points to join the NBA's 20,000 point club, was asked before Monday's practice if the impending milestone meant anything to him.

Anything at all.

"It means I've been playing a long time. It means I'm old. It means I'm closer to the end than to the beginning," Duncan said, beginning to chuckle. "It means a lot of things that are negative more than positive."

Dallas' Dirk Nowitzki needs 19 points to reach 20,000. Assuming Nowitzki beats him there, Duncan would be the 35th player in NBA history to hit that plateau.

Pressed, Duncan admitted the accomplishment might mean something to him -- someday.

"It''ll mean something after I'm done," Duncan said. "Looking back on it, it will mean something. Right now, you're in the midst of things. It's hard to see it as an accomplishment or anything else."

I think Tim has gotten to the point where he answers questions just like Pop. Wry, sarcastic, unrevealing.

Duncan laughing at the Gasol "trade" was the highlight of this thread though
