Gasol listed as doubtful. artest practiced fine. walton is out. going to be tough game and then dallas right after ready to pounce after being raped by the lakers. they want revenge and the lakers might not be healthy enough to handle it

I thought San Antonia were the fourth most dangerous team to start the season, behind the Lakers, Blazers and Nuggets(In that oder). However, I really wouldn't know where to rank them now. Definitely behind Dallas and probably behind Phoenix. I could see them turning it on down the line, though.

These are the only two teams that know how to win titles from the West. So, call them number one and number two. Both have had many home games and few road games. I guess they may fight it out in the WCF if the Lakers don't play the Blazers and the Spurs don't play the Mavs.

Like a top-selling pornstar that has a middling period of movies where the girl-on-girl action isn't consistent (or arousing...) or the double penetration is maddening, the Lakers have been a hubris of bad (Christmas Day and Portland), lackadaisical (Tyreke Evans-less Kings and Bucks pt.1), and superb (Dallas and Bucks pt.2). You know this is going to be a tough game for L.A. Funny how the '00s end yet there is the two most successful teams ready to go heads-up with each other once more...

Meaningless game during a meaningless month of the basketball season. Whatever happens on Tues is irrelevant. San Antonio will inevitably be curb stomped by the Mavericks or Lakers in 5-6 or 4-5 games respectively come playoff time. Hell, OKC could probably beat SA in playoffs at this point.

It's not a matter of turning it on. It's a matter of developing chemistry and building towards peaking when the playoffs come around.

I really couldn't care less about the regular season record. As long as we're playing our best ball when the playoffs come around, that's all it matters.

That's what I'd like to see. The Spurs pulling out close games again. Until we do, it's hard to see them as top dogs come playoff time.

But as a Spurs die-hard fan, I am hoping for a real turn around and the Spurs to begin winning games against elite teams. What better time to start then tonight.:toast

I think it will be a difficult game for LA in Dallas after we run them ragged, unless it's a blow-out, of course.

Duncan & Parker will get their points..Its players like manu who can score 20-30 on any given night..Gotta protect the 3 point line.

Should be a good matchup. If Gasol doesn't play, it will get interesting. Hopefully Parker can get his head out of his ass and play a good all around game, and actually pass the ball on a fast break. RJ and Manu will be the keys to this game, as well as GHill. It will be interesting to see what Pop does with the frontline as far as playing small ball or actually playing Mahinmi and Ratliff.

Refs are completely shite, but that's usually par for the course when we play the Spurs on the road.

Not much the Lakers can do tonight unless the Spurs cool down a bit. Too many injured players. Ron Artest is basically useless out there with his plantar faschitis, concussion, and other myriad of problems. Kobe is hobbling. No Gasol.

The ASB couldn't come soon enough. This Laker team needs to heal up.

Side note, someone tell Sean E. to calm the fuck down. He's literally cumming into his microphone on every play.

He's literally cumming into his microphone on every play.

spurs hitting everything they shoot

We're hitting down our open shots, this isn't the same spurs team as last year. We've got a bunch of offensive weapons, if you've been watching the Spurs lately you'd realize how good of an offensive team we are. It's on defense that we're having trouble. I think our offense has really improved over the past few games thanks to Bonner and Finley being out (we're not jacking up 3 after 3, we don't depend on it). RJ is finally getting comfortable as well, he's playing much better now than he has in the beginning of the season.

One of the few games not related to the Bulls that I've actually watched and got to admit it was nice to see the Spurs beat the Lakers. I'm happy for them only because it solidified the Spurs as an elite team despite losing to other "above .500" teams. I wouldn't use the "Kobe wasn't playing in the 4th" excuse as the Spurs were clearly in the lead, I think up by like 10 points prior to Kobe's absence.

It just shows you how powerful and how scary the Spurs can be when their top 3 can get into double digit scoring preferably 20 points from 2 of the 3 as we saw with Duncan and Parker. Duncan as usual with the monster performance of 25 points 13 rebounds. I was surprised to see the Spurs limit the Lakers to just 85 points.

This should be a really good confidence booster for the Spurs as they play their next games. Looks like their defense is back to where it should be and everyone seems to be on the same page and knows what they are doing on the court. Mason was a huge spark off the bench and got the team going. Overall it was a great win for the Spurs and a good one.
