God bless anyone who relies on the Google dropdown, but I was a little put off by the totally unearned bravura and vulgarity of the narrator.

I saw this on Fox news' website last week.

This is huge!

Scorning Islam as a meek benefactor of Google, and explicitly excluding it as major world rreligion, was a gesture pungent with it's own disdain and surely off the mark IMHO.

Nobody thinks it's unusual.

Ok then.

The inconsistency in the dropdowns is weird. I guess I'd like to have a math-literate someone to explain how that's a plausible outcome. It's all supposed to be done algorithmically, right?

OTOH, it's not unthinkable that a global public interface like google might go out of its way not too piss off certain countries. And that certain searches activate "security" protocols, such as anything blatantly pornographic or otherwise damaging to major clients, leading to results that may not strictly reflect the search algorithms.

It sure looks like there is a double standard for the other two major Abrahamic religions. Piss on Christianity and Judaism all you want. But why does the OPoster content himself with his single, voice-shaking revelation about the dropdowns? he wasn't curious about Google beyond that?

The narrator shows no more than a few dropdown screens for a few, naked search terms, then pompously concludes that the influence of Islam is minor, requiring as it does the paternal solicitude of Google to make sure people do not find out what they probably knewalready about Islam, all the while soliciting the inference that Islam's influence on Google is malign and disproportionate.

The analysis here is so deep it's not even superficial. It unveils the evidence, then pompously regards its burden as already having been met, when in fact it has failed to unpack even a single major premise, but instead relies on the rhythm of cant, cliche and keening self-regard to propel us to our eventual, somewhat icky, destination.

More than you'd think. Yeah.

Marcus Bryant

Probably. An enterprise isn't that large in these United States, with an obvious plan to plant itself in as much of national life as possible, without playing ball with other powers-that-be.

DarrinS

Google:

"wahhabism is"

"jihad is"

All autocomplete results are all very benign.

Marcus Bryant

Or, it's not hard to see Google giving a large source of traffic or ad revenue some special consideration.

Do you read the Koran, and hide your eyes like that that fool is doing?

These people come to this country and try to blend in by singing rap songs.

most search engines use logical algorithims so from what i have learned since ISlam starts with IS and you repeat IS: ISlam IS, the search engine automatically thinks the user is intending to repeat the word. anyhoo, if you type in 'muslim is' you get reccommendations such as bull shit and fake, so there if that makes anyone happy equal oppurutniy hating lol.

This glitch had to have been facilitated by the highest authorities at Google, with approval from Obama and Pelosi. Clearly this is a part of a massive pro-Islam conspiracy.

Sounded good, but IStanbul IS provides a dropdown.

you can fool all the Search Engines some of the time..."

Leutheusser-Schnarrenberger: All I said was that if scanners are ultimately introduced, they should no longer make the body visible, but should only image potential threat areas, and then we could talk about it. But only when that happens, and only under clear conditions. Privacy must be protected, and there can be no health risks whatsoever. I cannot tell you today whether and when such a device will become available. I haven't seen one yet.The German Justice Minister represents publicly that Germany is wary to compromise the privacy (or endanger the health) of its citizens, by installing body scanners at airports.

How empathetic and genteel. De-nazification seems to have worked.

Wrong. You get very benign autocompletes when you type any of the following:

"muslim is"

"wahhabism is"

"jihad is"

Better luck next time.

You posted an uber-creepy, crankypants youtube. A really smelly one. The guy sounded like he was rubbing one out on a picture of Obama, right at the end there. His voice literally quivers.
