Wade was academically ineligible his first year at Marquette, but he was still old for his year/grade. He was already 21 years old his "redshirt" freshman year at Marquette. Perhaps he took another year at a prep school after high school. It is strange he's already 28. I also thought he was around 25. Both Carmelo and LeBron will be turning 26 this season. Weird, Kobe will be 32 years old this year. He's about 3 1/2 years older than Wade but has played in 7 more seasons in the NBA. But I also think because Kobe's birthday is in August, he was young (17) when he graduated high school.

ya thats what I was thinking,kobe entered league in 1996 and d-wade entered in 2003. and kobe is 31 and d-wade is 28
