They didn't want to offer Big Z for Stephen Jackson, but they are willing to offer Big Z for David West?

"A league source said the Cavs have also made a run at Hornets power forward David West.

The Cavs are dangling center Zydrunas Ilgauskas out there for the Hornets, who want to avoid paying the luxury tax at all cost.

The Hornets could buy out Ilgauskas’ contract and waive him. Then he could return to the Cavs in 30 days.

Or they could hang onto him and let his $11.5 million deal expire after this season.

If the Cavs got West, perhaps it wouldn’t be a high priority to get Ilgauskas back in a month. Anderson Varejao could play many of the backup minutes behind center Shaquille O’Neal like he does now.

However, Hornets coach/GM Jeff Bower told New Orleans writers that he has no intention of breaking up their core to get under the luxury-tax threshold. Teams are also inquiring about point guard Chris Paul"

I'm thinking that NO thinks that they could get more then just an expiring for money for West.

They won't get West for the expiring. Jamison is their guy.

No1 is going to want at "The Mistake by the lake" when Lebron leaves next year so might as well go all in. Good Luck having the Wizards help out the Cavs, dont they hate each other

Yeah well the Wizards hate the Cavs but they're getting massive salary relief as they aren't the contender they thought they were.

Yeah Im sure the Wizards will look other places for salary relief but if they can't find it they will probably trade with Cavs,Jamison is a beast he's on my fantasy team and puts up sick stats
