He's being exposed..

-Carter deserves blame, but SVG needs to get on his ass and make him more of a playmaker..he averaged good assist numbers in NJ with the same usage % and much inferior teammates..

-He lets the bench guys shoot the ball from everywhere and anytime, every time they touch the ball..

-He obviously doesn't make them pass it to Howard more, which he can clearly do, since he's the coach..

-He doesn't play Brandon Bass, even though he's better than Anderson and brings a better style of basketball, especially against bigger teams like LA tonight..

I wouldn't be surprised to see him get fired this year especially if they don't make it to the Finals.

To play SVG's advocate here are reasons that come to mind why he'd let the Magic shoot shitty 3's instead of let Howard play -

1. Because he thinks Howard will get touches when "the game comes to him"

2. SVG thinks Howard can bail out bad jumpshots through his incredible rebounding ability

3. Putting Howard in his "place" for bitching to the media about the lack of touches in the past and/or he believes Howard isn't skilled enough to make his own shot

Some of those points have some merit but with the way Howard was playing in the first half last night it looked like he deserved more touches...then again LA also made some defensive changes after the half IIRC.

How is Stan Van Gundy an idiot when he has more NBA experience than you'll ever have? Just because you watch the NBA on a regular basis doesn't qualify you to be an NBA executive or coach. It just simply makes you self smarted. Self smarted meaning that you have ideas based upon hindsight outcomes. Yet no real experience.
