Hype Man Manu

Ok so lately it is painfully obvious that the Spurs have not been living up to our expectations. We have been blessed for the last 10 years to be one of the leagues model franchises, and coming into this season with our new acquisitions we expected to stay that way. Things don’t always happen the way we want them to though and some of the “lesser” teams have passed us by. Having said that, I have not and will not give up on the Spurs. Sure things are looking dreary right about now. Manu hasn’t yet re-signed (due of course to the FO), Tony is hurt, the new guys aren’t catching on as quickly as we would have liked and our record doesn’t reflect the 82 win season we hoped for. That does not change the fact though that I am now and always will be a Spur fan. I was a fan before the AT&T Center. I was a fan before the Alamodome. I was a fan before Manu, before Tim, before Avery, before David. I bleed silver and black and no matter the outcome of this season I will cling to the hope we have in our rising stars.
Is the combo of Hill and Blair going to lead us to a future championship? Maybe not, hell maybe Georgie leaves us because he gets offered more somewhere else. The bottom line is we could have the same record as the Nets and I would still watch every game and proudly wear my Spurs gear. No matter who is wearing the Spurs uniform (except Jason Terry) I will root for them and cheer them on.
I will end this with a quote from a great man that inspires me every time I think I am unable to accomplish something. I slightly changed it to fit our situation of course.
“Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!
And it ain't over now. 'Cause when the goin' gets tough...
the tough get goin'! Who's with me? Let's go!
What the fuck happened to the Spur fans I used to know? Where's the spirit? Where's the guts, huh? This could be the greatest season of our lives, but you're gonna let it be the worst. "Ooh, we're afraid to go with you HMM, we might get in trouble." Well just kiss my ass from now on! Not me! I'm not gonna take this. Lakers, they’re dead men! Celtics, dead! Mavs...”

I love the Spurs, even during the times when they suck. This is one of those times.

I'll still watch them when they come on TV but reruns of sitcoms are looking more and more inviting...I can only have my heart stomped on by this group so many times...

30 seconds left last night and I was still going through scenarios inmy head of how they could pull out the W.
I remember yelling AAALLLLVVVVVIIIIIINNNNN at the hemisphere. I used to get pumped about our SW division championship banners. The season isn't over and I am still looking at things realistically but hey I would rather give up watching basketball altogether than root for any other team.

ain't that the truth. I decided years ago to disconnect emotionally a bit from the Spurs. I decided it was too much for my heart :lol
"it's just a game...it's just a game..."

Was a fan after the Blazers won game 7. Was a fan after Hakeem destroyed us. Was a fan after Utah was our daddy. Was a fan after DROB went down. Was a fan after the Lakers owned us. Was a fan after the faggot ass Mavs beat us. Will be a fan no matter what. Spurs=Class

i am a proud spurs fan and i feel i dont need to prove it!
i feel even to be a san antonian citizen!
I'm a Spurs fan all the way. When Duncan is gone, I will still have at least 4 championship dvds to watch... there are several fans of teams that can't say that.
