A former CIA operative gets "burned" (spy speak for fired and blacklisted) and ends up stuck in Miami trying to work out who was behind it happening. In the mean time he, an old washed up Navy SEAL pal, and an ex-girlfriend run around Florida helping out people who can't turn to the law for whatever reasons. Every week he puts his spy skills to use with all sorts of improvised electronic devises and other stuff to take down mob bosses, drug dealers, etc. for the little guy. It's not the smartest or most realistic show on television but damned if it isn't the most fun to watch.

Basically if MacGyver nailed Sydney Bristow in the back of the A-Team's van while it was parked on the set of Miami Vice their baby would be this show.
