True, but Bruce is too old to bring the level of defense he used to.

Bruce >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> RJ

And at least he can hit the corner threes, which we seem to miss all the time now.

D-fence keeps the big dogs in D-yard. Right now even the little dogs are taking craps al over the sidewalk.

The sad thing is he's still better on D than anyone on the roster, even at 68 years old

Bruce would still be out there kicking ass.

Bogans is nowhere near the caliber of defensive player Bowens was. We are lacking a defensive identity.

I never knew how much we would miss that damn guy until now! I took you for granted at TIME BRUCEY! I loved his D but thought we would be better without him last year, how wrong I was.

Damn he was great on D.

Additionally, Bruce had a defensive reputation, so he could get away with stuff that the refs will call on Bogans and Hill.

It's too bad the ties with Bruce were basically cut last year... because I sure as fuck would be happy to see him back in Silver and Black starting tomorrow.

Come on, let's take Bruce back ..... if he's still in shape he could be just what the doctor ordered, also for a limited amount of time...defense, teaching to others the system and leading by exemple for the sf position!
That's not impossible, considering Haislip's been cut and now we have one free spot...

Our success this decade was predicated on a Big 4, not a Big 3. We miss you Bruce. :depressed

Bruce Bowen would be the fourth best player on this team (maybe even third).

Well Bruce Bowen is one of my all time favorite players.

I actually wanted Bruce to play more last season, not less. When the playoffs rolled around and everyone else bombed out I thought Bruce was one of our top 3 players and showed everyone he can still play D at a high level. I thought he would be back for sure this season. I thought when that trade was made that Bruce will come back for sure if he is bought out.

Very weird stuff. Bogans is crap compared to Bruce. I don't know what Pop was thinking.

People in SA need to start a "We Want Bruce" campaign. Start boycotting games until he's brought back.

Although Bruce could have still helped us if Spurs had they kept him, but he now has moved on so should we.

As for Bogans, I have no idea what keeps this guy on the Floor. He is tough but as a defender he's very overrated. That along with his inapt offence ability is just crippling.

There is a reason why Bogans has been a journeyman all his career yet Pop still wants to put him in a key roll.

Interesting how Bruce Bowen's 5 year run without missing a game, and arguably his 5 best years as a pro, were the '03 thru '07 seasons.

I don't think it's a coincidence. Imagine someone else trying to slow down Lebron James like he did in the '07 Finals.

This team's horrible performance is karmic retribution for the shitty way Popobitch treated Bowen his final year.

Bruce deserved better.

Pop's ego got in the way. And now you have an overpaid and underperforming team.

I would love that?....He's got mad D, plus he hits about every open 3 he puts up!!!...It would be a Win-Win situation?...But not sure if it will ever happen?....Sucks

Like he did everyone during that time. He gave Kobe a hard time, he made Randolph go bonkers, Carmelo breakdown, gave Nash fits, consistently made Marion fade in the playoffs, Amazinly the one guy who gave Bowen problems actually two guys were TMac and that fool in dallas Josh Howard. We are now experiencing what DRob once said about Bruce, " you don't know how much you miss him till he's not there, then you realize how important he is." or something like that.
