He didn't expect it to become public for another 30 years...but approved a book where his role was specified?

Where did you get an inkling that he "approved" the book? What I took away was that he found out it was coming out, and decided to give a few interviews before it did.

Damn, now you can't even pretend to be Canadian anymore in a bad international scrape.

Actually, I can't find it now.

I remember reading that he approved the book and immediately thinking...hmmm.

Now, I can't find any mention that he read and approved it. Did I imagine it? I dunno, mebbe old age is creeping up on me.
