Tolliver was definitely better than haislip IMO. even with his shooting woes here.

If he keeps shooting like that, Nelson will most certainly increase his minutes.

Is he on a 10-day contract?

Eleven rebounds is impressive but he's still poor at making 3-pointers.

You got that from all of the minutes Haislip played. :lol

Maybe Haislip should have considered signing with the Warriors. At least he will get minutes and prove his worth there.

honestly, WGAF about Tolliver ?

Our problems aren't the 10, 11 or 12th players on the roster.

that's rather the 2,3,4 and 5 supposed players who underperform.

1 for 5 on 3s.... just like when he was here...

1-5 indeed. At least Haislip hit 3 out of the 5 treys he took this year.

Haislip > Tolliver.

Haislip could have been a decent player in the NBA. I think he just picked the wrong team. It's very hard to break into Pop's rotation.

Actually its easy, Keith Bogans shot 1-19 in pre-season and was promoted into the starting lineup

Tolliver was on the Finley train to being one of Pop's favorites due to his ability to hit threes and not defend. Fortunately he stopped producing altogether before he could take root in the rotation. He actually has pretty quick hands in the passing lanes, but for his size he's a terrible defender. He's basically a really tall 2 guard.

Tolliver has fit in nicely with the Warriors. But he's getting the playing time because of injuries. He can't hit a 3 to save his life but I don't remember his mid range jumper being so smooth.

Wasn't Pop expecting him to become the next generation of Matt Bonner?

It was excellent. If he'd stepped in a little closer he'd have shot very very well. Many of the problems the Spurs have had over the past few years is their love for the three. If many of them would shoot their jumpers from inside the three point line, their scoring would actually go up.

Haislip is not made for the NBA. whatever the team. That's what i said from day 1 and i clearly haven't change my mind.

Bogans is a veteran basketball player and is known as an above average defender. That is why he got the nod. Surely you knew that already right?

Want to make a bet on whether Bogans will still be starting by the end of the year? Oh wait, he's not.

I guess even a moron like POop finally realized that "above average defense" doesn't overcome 1-6 shooting every other night.

Next.

lmao.

for what its worth Bogans is fine, hes not a great shooter but hes playing solid defense out there and hes filling the role hes expected to play. If some of our other guys stop underachieving, this team would look a lot better.

If Bogans' ever had any role on this team it should have been an off the bench defensive specialist sitting in a suit behind the spurs bench in case Hairston missed any games. A 1 million dollar insurance policy, and its questionable whether the spurs even needed him for that role with other wings like Marcus Williams making a name for themselves in D league.

Let's just cut the crap and call a spade a spade: Bogans is a horrible offensive player and is undersized as a wing defender, this is why his career path has resembled a bouncing pinball and nobody was interested in him till Pop decided it would be a great idea.
