Doctors are complaining that infections are becoming more and more resistant to anti-biotics, so maggot therapy is now making a comeback!

So... if you needed maggot therapy, would you allow your doctors to do it?

Absolutely, as long as they only use the RIGHT maggots, you know, the ones that only eat dead flesh. This is just a natural (and better and more complete) way to do wound debridement. Surgical debridement always leaves some dead tissue that later causes problems.

I thought this was widely accepted for some time now as all lab maggots would be doing is just eating away the dead flesh and basically cleaning up the area...I'd do it...I just wouldn't want to see that shit...

I remember when Keifer Sutherland gave that fruity "good" vampire the rice and told him he was eating maggots in The Lost Boys. Is that article about that? I don't like reading.

Most people in a situation that calls for maggots probably aren't thinking about the grossness of bugs. Its been around for a while. The nasty part is the open wound afterwards and the skin grafts.

If it's good enough for Russell Crowe, it' good enough for me.

If they take longer than 15 minutes to clean out a wound I would lose all faith in them.
