Screamadelica - Primal Scream
Yeah all Pink Floyd albums have some psychedelica to them but I find Piper at the Gates of Dawn the most psychedelic. Syd Barrett pretty much lived on acid at that time. Yeah that is a greate Radiohead cd. Bends is also great from Radiohead. Some really like Kid A though I'm not huge about it. Never heard Screamadelica. Might check that out.

I hated it the first time I heard it, then came back to it 5 years later and it blew my mind. It's a very strange crossover of rock and early electronica, not to everyone's taste, but it has a special place in my heart. :)

OK Computer - Radiohead
Man, I listen to this thing straight through at least once a day. Be so cool if Radiohead ever captured what they did on OK Computer again. I like all their stuff except Pablo Honey, but OK Computer is just so much better than the rest.

No one will know what/who this is, but Talvin Singh is freakin excellent as far as head trip music is concerned. With or without any substance to prime the experience.

Is this a band, or a way to say "old rock"? If it is a jab at the age of most of the rock here, then there is a reason for that. The late 60's and the 70's are the peak of that genre. After that, you must look to electronica for any examples. I guess outside of proper electronica there are some examples. Radiohead tries to go there, but they don't quite do it.

My favourite album of all time, equal with DSoTM.
I disagree that it is "just so much better than the rest" thought - The Bends is in my top ten, just a stunning album from start to finish, and Hail to the Thief is pretty damned impressive. :)

Yeah that is how I feel. Indie Rock is the closest thing to the psychedelia of that time period but not quite the same. The Moody Blues definitely bring out that relaxed and numbing feel that great psychedelic music has.

Animals is my favorite PF album (and therefore, my favorite psychedelic album ever) when it comes to "What do we put on while we smoke this gargantuan joint?"
