There is a Kobe, All the Time thread here:

http://spurstalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=144287&page=20

Please use it so we don't have 10 Kobe threads a day.

We're up to 3 of them now.

Thankyou.

Yeah..let's go by their winning percentage since they were 1-8 and not by their record..that's all that matters. Oh..and let's not go by the fact that the Spurs outhustled them without their biggest hustler and point guard tonight and got the win. That wouldn't matter either. Because their record after starting 1-8 is all that matters.

son honestly how is top 10 even debatable?? Kobe isn't even in the top 50 best players of all time. top 60-75 is more realistic ... obviously I'm not a Kobe supporter, but I will give him his props. He is an EXCELLENT 2nd scoring option and one of the best role players the NBA has seen over the last decade. team leader? hell no. hands down one of the worst, if not the worst "leader" of all time.

again ... put the ESPN sportscenter crack pipe down and educate yourself on the game of basketball.

son just because the media and NBA kisses his ass doesn't mean shit. everyone knows that his MVP award was a bogus / lifetime achievement award and that he could never and will never win a championship as the leader of his team. go look at his stats (if you understand them) ... he ONLY averages 25 points per game because he averages 20 shots per game. 20 freakin shots per game, along with 8 free throws per game (most of which are gifts from the league) .... how impressive is that? wow! he scores 25 points off of 20 shot attempts and 8 freebies!!! not to mention his PATHETIC field goal percentage of 454%!!!

son that is a horrible attitude to have. by your standards, Robert Horry should be picked ahead of those guys as well because he has 7 championships lol. Son, the problem with that logic is Horry never won an MVP, Finals MVP and scoring titles. Horry at his best chucking mode could never score 62 points in three quarters despite just shooting 9 free throws. Horry if given a green light would never average 35.5 ppg in a season.

If Horry can do those, then Son, he should not only be the GOAT but rather in consideration with the upper echelon of deity. In fact, by mythical greek standards, he would replace the Twelve Olympian Gods and Goddesses of Greek Mythology. With Robert Horry in power, there will be no Tsunami in Asia. No hurricane in Katrina, and Ghazi would be a better husband. An intelligent and charismatic black man would replace David Stern and Chris Paul will be the emperor of Japan. But sadly my brother, the most powerful God of all, Thor the son of Odin saw Robert's bandwagoning ass. He realized that no God should be a Rocket, a Laker and a Spur to achieve glory. Despite of Rob's intentions for world peace, he is not pure. He's corrupted. He's no different than a rental whore . He got tossed around by jocks named Hakeem, Shaquille and Timmy. This truly angered the Gods and made a unanimous decision to just send Robert Keith Horry's ass and his career 7.6 ppg back to reality. Therefore my brother, Horry became just another body. His NBA worth is equivalent to Jack Haley, Antoine Walker and 5 Steve Kerrs which still is good for a Top 300 player of all time.

when players are of similar skill level and talent ... what else would be a worthy criteria for seperating the all-stars, from the HOF'ers and the HOF'ers from the all time greats?

Lebron is an all-star and soon to be 2x MVP ...and on pace to be a HOF'er ... but to be the BEST he needs a ring.
Again MOST of the fanbase of champion franchises get this. Karl malone, barkley Stockton etc all great players but they NEVER was the best because they retired ringless... it's why i CAN'T say Hakeem as GREAT as he was ...is better than duncan. In both of their primes I STILL choose Hakeem. But until Lebron the king wins a title the throne is NOT his ...
I THINK we all on here (for the most part) agree Lebron will win a title SOON ...if NOT this year ...
I will agree he is the BEST when he wins multiple titles (at least one)that is the standard these threads are silly because those that use this criteria will NOT change their minds until that happens. All the others MiamiHeat, chrisrichards BRhornet that already crown him will agree with these and get all "wet" when Simmons or Reggie miller write these articles

6 finals MVP's, 5 league MVP's, 10 scoring titles (6 while shooting over 50%), steals title, Defensive player of the year award, highest PPG in NBA history for the regular season (30.12) and playoffs (33.45). Averaged 31.5ppg and 51.5% shooting as a Chicago Bull.
