New Orleans All-Star point guard Chris Paul will undergo arthroscopic surgery for a cartilage tear in his left knee on Monday and could miss one to two months, sources close to Paul told Yahoo! Sports on Sunday night.

That sucks. Sounds like it could be microfracture. Even though he can be annoying, I don't want CP3's career derailed like that.

Luckily for the Hornets they have that white guy named Collison.

.

Mircofracture isn't a big deal if the player is in proper shape and has any sort of work ethic. Stockton was back on the court in a month.

It's only going to ruin a career if he becomes a lazy fat ass and doesn't rehab properly (see: Webber, Hardaway).

If there was ever any truth to the rumor about the Spurs trading Parker for Chris Paul, the Spurs should do it now. I know Paul will be out for at least a month, but that's why now is the time...the price will be right if they pull the trigger now.

Parker plus whoever it takes other than Tim, Manu, Hill, or Blair.

didn't see posted. Apparently it could be worst than expected.

Hornets: CP3 out indefinitely: Hornets' All-Star point guard Chris Paul (http://fantasynews.cbssports.com/fantasybasketball/players/playerpage/555969) is out indefinitely with a left knee injury that will likely require surgery. An MRI revealed more damage to the knee than the initial diagnosis of a bruise, Hornets coach Jeff Bower said on Monday. The coach refused, however, to confirm reports that Paul had a meniscus tear and would miss at least a month. "We're in fact-finding stages right now, gathering as much information as possible for decisions to be made to take the next steps," Bower said. "It is likely there will be a surgical solution for it. We don't have a timetable (for Paul's return) right now, nor do we know a surgical procedure right now."
(Updated 02/01/2010).

Hornets G Paul to miss 4 to 6 weeks (http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=txhornetspaul&prov=st&type=lgns)

New Orleans Hornets point guard Chris Paul will be out about four to six weeks after having arthroscopic knee surgery Thursday.

Paul will start rehabilitating immediately and be on crutches for two or three weeks, the team announced.

He will miss the Feb. 14 All-Star Game at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

“Obviously this is a tough thing for me,” Paul said in a statement. “I have been fortunate through my career as a basketball player to not have suffered many injuries. The main thing is for me to get back healthy and to help this team however I can.”

Paul was injured Jan. 27 against Golden State, then aggravated the injury when he collided with a camera while chasing an errant pass in the final seconds of regulation against the Chicago Bulls last Friday.

New Orleans (26-23) is in danger of missing the playoffs for the first time in three years. The Hornets have lost three consecutive home games and are in last place in the Southwest Division, two games out of the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

Paul sat out eight games earlier this season with a sprained ankle. New Orleans is 5-6 when he does not play.
