damn...I've never heard contractors bitch so much about a job...everybody is behind schedule...they claim that Toyota keeps making changes but doesn't add any time to the schedule...they are all falling over each other trying to get caught up...I personally don't see any way they are gonna be ready to make cars next spring...

That's the way most jobs are.

Yawl better get your butts in gear cause I haven’t decided if I want a new, 8 MPG Suburban, 9 MPG Escalade, 7 MPG H-3 or the new 9 MPG Land Cruiser...

It’s a tough choice I know but I don’t want to hear that the good folks in San Antonio are not ready for my gas guzzling money..... :smokin

Uh, Toyota does not make the Suburban, Escalade, or H3. And what are you talking about?

Do you cut your own hair?

No. You didn't answer my question. And what does that have to do with this topic?

Uh no. And I'll tell you what is really, really, really funny about your weak attempt at taking a cut at me. The place where I get my hair cut, just happens to be the place where your idol Shaq had his hair cut many times when he lived here in SA.

User- Some people on this board have posted that SUV’s are destroying the planet...It was just a joke...The Land Cruiser is a heavy 4x4 that gets very poor gas mileage made by Toyota... :smokin

That's the way most jobs are.

I'm in the business. They all have a certain amount of that in all jobs but I am confident this is the worst one I have seen. From what I have heard around town a lot of contractors are losing money because of the disorganization and overlap of work space...I know there are a lot of Toyota related liens being filed...fortunately I will only need to be out there a few days during the construction phase and most of my stuff will happen after it is completed.

My Dad is a contractor out there at the Toyota Plant. He never has anything nice to say. He is always b*tching about someone almost getting killed over someone's stupidity. :lol

thats ironically funny considering how anal they are about "safety"...you can't even go on the site without a hardhat, safety goggles, and a reflective vest...it's the perpetual problem about how do you write rules about having common sense...and I saw a significant lack of it out there...

That's what happens when you portion off a certain percentage of the work to "Joe pickup truck" who thinks it's perfectly normal to use the bucket if a Case 580 as a mobile scaffold.

I have seen jobs where the building was already built, and they had to knock down some walls to add doors! Or my favorite, the house that had the toilet with hot water running through it. They had hooked up the sink's hot water line that stood next to it, to the toilet, and had both lines on the sink as cold.

see the open "brown" ground in the foreground where the heavy equipment has been working? They are already starting the NEXT phase of expansion before the first is even finished...It's supposed to be the same size as the huge building with the white roof at the top of the picture...
