Yes, it's that time of the year again. Bobcats will cocktease the Lakers and send it to triple OT before winning by 20 tonight. Good thing is Laker games are back on 7:30, so I can remember now.

I'm going to be at the game on Wednesday...I have not seen the Lakers lose a game at home (in person) since the 2007 season...hopefully that streak will continue!

Kind of hope Charlotte keeps winning so they stay out of the #8 seed. That's a team I'd rather not see in the postseason.

Strange stuff happens when the Lakers play the Bobcats.

ace3g

Bobcats down 3 with 9.7 sec, they called a timeout after Felton almost lost the ball, they will have the last shot, ball should be in SJAX hands

It's not that common. And it's a close game with not much time left so I'd imagine they would secure the reb in case of a miss and they didn't.

Shannon Brown has really been stinking it up for you guys since that game against Orlando. Maybe the Bobcats just bring out the dumbness in LA players, but he and Farmar shouldn't be combining for 20 shots. Wonder if Phil trusts them to play smarter once the playoffs role around or if he wants to make a trade. Part of me thinks Phil gives his role players more freedom early on in the season to get a feel for how they are gonna fit in later on in the year. I have a hard time believing we'll see so much poor shot selection from their supporting cast when the playoffs role around.

Shannon had a couple dumb possessions but overall he played good. Still holds the ball way to long though.

Farmar missed some open shots but he was running the offense very well tonight. Clutch defense as well.

The Lakers don't win this game without the bench gunners tonight.

I didn't watch the game so I'll take your word for that. Who the fuck was defending Mohammed? Something ain't right when he's grabbing 9 offensive rebounds.

Hey, those 5 points were key in the victory. Lakers won by 5 (that last 3 don't count).

And this was part of Kobe's secret plan. Tweaked his ankle/knee so he has an excuse to pass the ball more so people don't think he's being a bitch purposely by refusing to shoot after that statement :bike:

Thank god LO beasted though..Ron Ron 5 for 9 with 14 pts, hes been lookin real nice lately too since he's feeling good. Cheers & Phx doing us a favor tonight.

Son, this is the bobcats we're talking about..They own the Lakers. Thats why even a 1pt win vs them would be considered a damn good win.:lol That & the fact nobody gives a shit to box out for some reason.

Marc's sister.

Can't entirely blame it on our bigs though. The guards were allowing penetration and a couple of times when the bigs rotate to cover, no one would cover them.

But Pau's been playing poorly lately. Don't know what's up with him.

You must not know Kobe then. If he's even able to play at all, he'll be out there regardless, even though he's injured all over right now. The All-Star break will give him some needed rest.

Pau did play like a pre-teen little girl the entire road trip. Got his extension, so I guess it makes sense.

Pau is a highly skilled player but those that think he is the MVP of he Lakers don't know dyck about ball.

I guess Amare is the real MVP of the suns ...
Boozer for the Jazz ...
Parker for the Spurs ...

Gasol is very good not sure about great though ...

The last time LA played Phoenix it's like you couldn't even tell he was on the court, regardless of the physical advantages he has over the Phoenix front court. I didn't even think about how he got that extension and then stopped playing like the "toughened up Pau Gasol" we heard so much about last year. Kinda shows why Memphis fans hated him so much.

Yeah Tim Duncan/Manu/Parker would have sat out the rest of the game if it was them.

Right. Because they don't care about stats.

The reason Bryant stays in games so long is because he has to get his numbers. Tonight, that wasn't possible because he couldn't hit a shot to save his life. He was 2-12 and every other starter shot 50% or better.

If your boy is so injured, tell him to sit down and stop shooting.

Right. Because they don't care about stats.
.

If Kobe cared about his statistics then we wouldn't be playing with a broken finger and sprained ankle. 5 pt games don't help him win the scoring title.

Being at the game last night, I noticed it lacked any real energy. I think that was due to the return from a long road-trip and the opponent. It was almost like the Bobcats were inside the Lakers' collective psyche and it muddled the game down to a slow crawl. A win as ugly as this is always nice though as I left Staples a happy camper...

Flying over 8,000 miles in 2 weeks & playing 8 straight games in different cities will do that to you..John Ireland said he was tired as hell from all that traveling alone & he didnt even play..Imagine how the players felt..82 game season takes a huge toll on a players body.
