Paul Pierce is just as good, if not better than Kobe. if only Paul received the same amount of help from the league with free throws, he would put up 25 per game like Kobe.

Kobe is a superstar so of course he will get his calls, but he gets less calls than D Wade, LeBron, and Paul Pierce. I bet there are some others too.

no son I was too busy watching his other phantom calls. 13 free throws last night for Kobe. at least 10 of them were gifts from the refs.

son stop making up bullshit

I hate on the star players of three teams. Kobe, Lebron, and Dirk. Of those three, Lebron is hands down the most talented and truly deserves MOST of the hype he receives. The other two are nothing more than overrated, media manufactured stars. take away the help from the refs that both Kobe and Dirk receive and neither of them would even put up 20 points per game.

I am a big fan of D-Wade, Brandon Roy, Kevin Durant, Tim Duncan, and many other teams star players. don't make ridiculous accusations son.

let away the refs and turn the games to street fights, then none of the exiting stars would remain shining and all of them would get relegated to 2nd or 3rd classes to make room in the 1st class for the big and beefy guys only, like tyson chandler. You know where the 5'9 chris paul should be positioned in such a league son.

don't be ridiculous ... here's an idea though. how about the NBA and the media just allow stars to MAKE THEMSELVES instead of doing everything in their power to create their own for marketing purposes. those extra points received at the line EVERY game by league manufactured stars like Kobe and Dirk off of bullshit / phantom calls adds up son.

Wow...I didn't know YOU were Paul Pierce! Because only he would know how that felt when he went down. Maybe the pain did feel that bad....none of us will ever know unless we're in his shoes...so until then...quit being a little bitch about it just because he came back and owned your team..

lol you get stupider by the post. How the hell have you convinced yourself that Dirk is a media star made by the league? When was the last time Dirk was in a Nike commercial? or a Gatorade one? Hell, he isn't even in the NBA commercials. Stern doesn't like Dirk. He is not exciting enough for the casual fans.

Wow...+1. I hate the Mavs with a passion and even I agree with you. The only players who get all the media attention are Kobe, LeBron, and Wade..after them..you're chop liver.

PP is an example of a guy who didn't get the honor of playing for P-Jax.
PP is THAT good. The 1 time he had 'Laker-Like' talent around him, despite his coach, he was able to take a team on his back. Unfortunately, they also were getting 'Laker-Like' calls that season, or more specifically, non-calls on KG's flagrant and standard fouls...

PP has a special place in my heart, along with Reggie Miller, Sam Perkins, Arvydas Sabonis, Ben Wallace, and Shawn Kemp...

Damn, unfortunately I just saw this thread. Otherwise I would have pointed out the same. Pierce gets to the line as will and he was always among the leaders of FTA during the last decade.
