S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Pripyat

Haven't bought it yet, but will soon. I love the Stalker franchise, yes, even Clear Sky. It's getting good reviews, mostly 8's including Gamespot(http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/stalkercallofpripyat/review.html). I could've got the Russian version months ago but decided to hold out for the English version.

It's (CoP) pretty much bug free this time around which is a nice change from CS, and is focused back on being an atmospheric and spooky shooter like Shadow of Chernobyl was.

Is anybody getting it?

I'm playing through SoC again (the 2009 complete mod, which makes it almost a new game) to hold me down until I can get the latest, which is a sequel to Shadow of Chernobyl.

Bottom line, there's nothing else out there that's like this series. One of the most immersive FPS games I've ever played. I can't wait until I can play the new one.

Sorry console peeps, it's a PC only release (although rumors have already started that the next installment will be ported to the 360)

No, that's a bandit about to get executed...Although I can't be sure because I haven't played it yet

The game is based on the Chernobyl fallout zone in the Ukraine. It's an FPS with RPG elements, and is basically a sci-fi/horror shooter.

The game runs on the X-ray engine, which was produced by the devs of this game and hasn't been used for any other FPS games that I know of. It's truly unique, especially the AI. Some say it's starting to show it's age, but really it's the only thing that gives the Crytek engine a run for it's money, IMO.

I'm killing myself for throwing away my desktop. The first STALKER was very fun with the pc mods. Never played clear sky.

Call of Pripyat is the best game. Preferably play it while on some form of narcotics with the Atmosfear mod. Trust.

Played through it now...Good, but not as good as SOC. Will wait for ArtistPavel to Mod it.
