The fake enthusiasm is unbearable to watch.

It's a toss-up between Reggie and Mark Jackson. Reggie's prepubescent voice vs. Mark Jackson's overly dramatic catchphrases is too hard to call.

I don't mind Miller lol

He's okay when he talks normally. But when he recaps a nice play with his teenage cracking voice, it makes me cringe.

Kenny Smith's pretty bad too. It's as if he overthinks too much into the game, and instead it just comes out total BS.

He has a pretty good grasp of the game. He needs to quit trying to be funny.

I used to love him as a player. Not so much as a commentator.

Marc Jackson is funny because of how stupid he is, Reggie Miller contradicts himself all the damn time.

That may be. But I cringe every time I hear Sean Luck_The_Fakers_Luck_The_Fakers_Luck_The_Fakers_Lu ck_The_Fakers_Luck_The_Fakers_Luck_The_Fakers_ say "top shelf". I'm so fucking tired of hearing how whatever player went top shelf and somebody else needs royalties for their poster.

Of course Tommy Heinsohn and Mike Rice are the worst announcers in the world. Not many people would dispute that. But in terms of national broadcasts, Reggie Miller is the most annoying in my book.

Yeah Reggie is super whack, its almost as if he is trying to be black. lol lol I feel so bad for him.

I'd rather have Cheryl commentating, she's manlier of the 2.

Least favorite : Mark Jackson and it's not even close

Favorite : Doug Collins, just an all around solid commentator with knowledge of the game and without the cheez factor.

I love Doug Collins too. He gives great insight into the game, and he's clearly a big fan of the Phoenix Suns.

My favorite commentator is Hubie Brown. He's unbiased, direct, and knows just about everything there is to know about the game.

For national coverage I agree Reggie is really bad, but I think Collins is the worst there. Some people are glass is half full kind of people, others think the glass is half empty, but Collins seems like he just wants to dump the whole fucking thing on the floor and then cry about it. His constant whining about 4 point swings and the like is tiresome.

I am watching the 1985 Lakers vs. Celtics games, and Tommy Heinsohn, though obviously biased towards the Celtics, was not a raving lunatic.

No doubt. Mark Jackson a close second.

Early in the season he was talking about the league having an outdoor game every year, like NHL does now, saying how great it would be.

What a terrible idea. You'd think a jumpshooter would understand what a crappy idea that is.

It's either Miller or that douchebag Mark Jackson.

Growing up with 90s NBA, I am a solid Marv Albert fan. I'd like to hear Marv and Hubie together, with JVG for the dumb jokes. :)

Reggie is beyond horrible, so is his sister..I would hate to be at a Miller family event, those voices would just be too much..

Mark Jackson is obviously horrible..

I hate Doug Collins for his obvious biases..

Hubie is good, but like BB said, he's getting senile..

The play-by-play guys are still good..Marv and Harlan for highlights are still top-notch, especially Marv..

They make me laugh, even Mark.

I like Mark Jackson for the same reason I like Bill Walton. I consider them comic relief. The overly dramatic, turgid commentary makes me :lol

Van Gundy sucks. He's always nitpicking and bitching about stupid stuff. It's like having a younger Andy Rooney in the booth.

HarlemHeat37

Bill Walton purposely uses hyperbole to the extent that he does though..everything he says is tongue-in-cheek..Mark Jackson actually takes himself seriously, which is the scary part..

I'm not a fan of Jeff Van Gundy either but he's the lesser of two evils when it comes to him and Mark Jackson. In fact I can't stand the entire ABC/ESPN broadcast teams outside of Hubie Brown who's my favorite announcer of all-time. Yeah, he's going a bit senile in his old age but he still teaches the game while commentating and doesn't need to rely on corny gimmicks and catchphrases like the rest.

Hate to say it, but Sean Eliott is quickly becoming the new Tommy Heinsohn. As much as I love the Spurs and liked his game in college and in the NBA, he is almost completely incapable of seeing things objectively. At least a few times a game he'll say things like well that might have been a foul by Timmy but just barely... as if it should not have been called...

The way Walton constantly trashed Michael Olowokandi was hilarious. Still, Chick Hearn and Stu Lantz is the best combination I ever heard, even if Lantz' contribution was negative (if you think the Kobe knob-slobbers are bad here, you should have listened to him).
