They should trade that useless bitch in your sig. He does absolutely nothing for the Rockets that can't be done for one fourth the money he's being paid.

Trade Battier and Brooks for a lotto pick and a young talent please.

Or Battier + McGrady for Iggy/Butler

If Donnie had watched this game with a smart ass which he could use thinking about what could possibly better his team a little bit, he shouldn't have no more hesitation to get this deal done.

ive already posted extensively on it. to sum up, the league had an agenda in 2006 and it included avoiding the inevitable spurs-pistons rematch at all costs.
both 'finals teams' miraculously came out of nowhere to make the finals that year, only to both be viciously humiliated in the 1st round the following year...only time in NBA hsitory. hhahahahaha. the Spurs were the best team in the nba that year and they were robbed of a 3-peat by absurdly biased reffing resulting in a perimeter jump shoter getting the most foul shots ever by such a player in aplayoff series.

OK, explain to me what your useless bitch of an idol does so well for what he's paid? His defense is average at best, his offense is nonexistent, he can't create for himself or others, he doesn't move well in the offense, and he is getting old. He doesn't earn his pay, and if my team is going to pay someone almost 8 million a year, that person should be providing a lot more than Battier does. I won't overvalue him just because he's a nice guy.

Watch the games and stop looking for a scapegoat after every loss. He missed two late threes, and had a costly turnover, shit happens. He still is doing what he is supposed too, play D, spread the floor, and be the leader of the team. We arent going to win every game, especially all the "gimmies" when missing Yao, Lowry, having a hobbled Ariza, particularily when Budinger is missing every shot.

Oh and here is why is he valuable.

Brandon Roy 5-18, 20 points

Stephen Jackson 7-16, 17 points

Deron Willions 6-20, 18 points

Shawn Marion 5-12, 10 points
Josh Howard 6-14, 14 points

Rudy Gay 6-13, 20 points, 4 turnovers

Kobe Bryant 5-20, 18 points

Corey Brewer 3-7, 6 points, 5 turnovers

Joe Johnson 19 points, 4 turnovers

Richard Jefferon, 1-5, 9 points

Kevin Durant 10-19, 25 points, 6 turnovers

Baron Davis 8-17, 20 points, 5 turnovers

Monta Ellis 9-27, 24 points, 9 turnovers

Lebron James 8-21, 27 points, 5 turnovers

Richard Hamilton 10-22, 21 points

Kevin Durant 6-18, 13 points

Baron Davis 5-13, 18 points
Eric Gordon 6-17, 15 points

Vince Carter 6-16, 18 points, 4 turnovers

Devin Harris 9-22, 19 points
Courtney Lee 3-8 10 points

Peja Stojacovic 0-4, 0 points

Josh Howard, 5-14 16 points, 3 turnovers

Peja Stojacovic 2-7, 5 points

Kobe Bryant, 9-23, 22 points, 4 turnovers

Gerald Wallace, 2-10, 9 points, 4 turnovers

Corey Brewer, 6-18, 14 points

Manu Ginobli 6-15, 15 points, 4 turnovers

Kirk Heinrich 4-13, 12 points

Aaron Afflao 0-7, 0 points

Jason Richardson 4-11, 8 points, 3 turnovers

Martel Webster 1-7, 2 points

Rudy Gay, 4-9, 11 points, 3 turnovers
OJ May, 4-14, 11 points, 3 turnovers

Adre Iguodala 3-8, 4 turnovers

Battier is a solid starting SF on a contending team. Because he's being asked to do too much isn't his fault.

removing battier from houston would cause a significant hit in perimeter defense.

I don't think we need another injury prone player...Manu is on his last leg and I'd rather just keep Battier if he's all we can get for him.

You can keep Battier then... I like Shane's defense, but he's a one trick pony on the other end and we already have 3 or 4 of those... PASS

LOL

You look at PER for the Spurs this season and he's number 2 right after Duncan... and he's on a shooting slump...

Put another way, the only Rocket player with a higher PER than him is Landry... link (http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/hollinger/statistics?sort=per&qual=true&pos=all&seasonType=2&action=login&appRedirect=http%3a%2f%2finsider.espn.go.com%2fnba %2fhollinger%2fstatistics%3fsort%3dper%26qual%3dtr ue%26pos%3dall%26seasonType%3d2)

I don't blame you one bit. Manu would help to open things up for us on offense, and he's a decent defender, which makes him much more valuable than Shane for about the same price.
