Yes he does. How many did Elway lose before he won one?

The one thing I will say about the Colts is that as long as Peyton is QB and stays healthy, they will be back in the big game.

The interception looked like a total puss out by Reggie Wayne.

The final goaline drop by Wayne without question a puss out. Perfect pass.

Montana did not have to deal with idiotic drops. Except the one by the Cincinatti db who had it right in his hands. :lol

He's definitely in the conversation right now, and once his career has ended, he will be the undisputed G.O.A.T. in my opinion.

People used to say that about Favre.

Not so much anymore.

Until Brady Quinn gets his roll on.

A win tonight would of really propelled him.

He's still great however.

And Colt Brennan.

He has to win a few more superbowls. He threw a pick at the worst time today. While Manning was better than Brady this season, Brady>>>>>>Manning in terms of overall career. Today especially late in that 4th keeps Brady ahead.

If a game is on the line, i'm picking Brady 10 times out of 10 over Manning....

Manning was lucky Rex was QB'ing the Bears.

This.

I'm a big Manning fan, but outside of their SB run in 2007 Peyton hasn't done anything spectacular in the postseason.....especially in the 4th quarter.

He's probably the best reg season QB ever with 1 ring a Superbowl MVP and he got them to another one. He's got 3 or 4 big years left in him still and he's top 5 right now..

reductio ad absurdum. :rolleyes

Manning doesn't belong in any GOAT conversation, even if he had won tonight.

One could make a case for Elway, just not over Joe Cool IMO.

Next year the Colts are fucked. The team who looses the superbowl has a down year the next. That has been consistent.

What do the playoffs start end of pre-season??

He's led the Colts to 12 and 13 win seasons over and over, that has to count for something..

4 league MVP's counts for a lot

Manning is a hall of famer no doubt. He is a damn good qb. He just isn't in Brady's league when it comes to postseason greatness.

Sure it does, but a lot does not = GOAT.

He's not the GOAT but i think he is top 5 right now with still a shot at 1 when he's done..

Don't know if anyone has lost as the #1 seed in the playoffs more than Manning has.

I agree, and I would have loved to have seen him do it this evening but if there was one other team I would have picked to win, it was the Saints.

My main point was that Manning is conspicuously pedestrian in the playoffs, including his lone SB win. To me, that's the lone indictment on an otherwise stellar career.

Numbers wise I don't doubt that he will hold most of the records when hes done.

That SB run wasn't that great either. He threw 5 picks in the first two games. The defense carried him through that run.

Quote this. Unlike the NBA, teams that are successful in the NFL change drastically over a season. There are only 16 games in a season so every game matters and that can hurt some teams in the NFL.

The onside kick changed everything.

True, Manning only loses by 14 points in the Super Bowl, not 45.
