No additional details were provided by the Spurs staff.

Great! Our chances weren't great to begin with..

You guys have no faith in your team lol, maybe it's just because I'm a Dallas Cowboys fan, but the way I predict games, any time I like would be undefeated every year. I always think the Spurs are going to win. Do they always win? Of course not, but as a fan, hope/faith/wishful thinking or whatever you want to call it isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Hip injury sidelines Spurs’ Parker (http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=ap-spurs-parkerout&prov=ap&type=lgns)

San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker is being held out of the team’s game against the Denver Nuggets because of a strained left hip flexor.

San Antonio coach Gregg Popovich said Thursday that Parker was injured during the team’s last game, a 101-89 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday.

Parker, averaging 16.9 points in 43 games, was sidelined for three games earlier this month after spraining his left ankle Jan. 27 against Atlanta.

Oooo.

If he's not playing? Does this mean he getting traded?!

Just trying to throw some BS out there... So many trade threads...Soo tired of reading and just waiting to see if something really does happen or not.

It was going to be a loss either way, might as well let Tony get a longer All-Star break to rest..

I repeat, we really need to sign a legitimate backup PG... Even if it's AD...

Parker out vs. Denver (http://blogs.mysanantonio.com/weblogs/courtside/2010/02/parker-out-vs-d.html)
By Jeff McDonald

No, your computer monitor is not stuck on repeat.

Spurs point guard Tony Parker will miss tonight's game at Denver with a left hip flexor strain, coach Gregg Popovich said. Parker hurt himself taking a tumble at some point during Monday's loss at the Los Angeles Lakers.

With one game left until the All-Star break, Popovich opted to hold Parker out instead of risking further inflammation.

Parker did not play the last time these two teams met, either, missing the Nuggets' Jan. 31 win in San Antonio with a sprained left ankle.

Meanwhile, Denver coach George Karl said the jury was still out on whether Kenyon Martin would play or rest with left knee tendinitis. Karl indicated Martin was leaning toward not playing.

You may be on to something. Based on the players sitting out for tonight's game, it's clear that the Spurs are working on a Parker+Mahinmi for Kenyon Martin trade. How do I know this? Because it works in the trade machine! :)

WTF. Hopefully Hill doesn't get murdered by Billups again.

As it turns out, TP should have definitely sat out until after the All-Star break.

TP has curbstomped Billups over the last few years.

But yeah, that doesn't matter at this point. Doubt the Spurs will even be within 10 points very often.

Thoughts on signing AD for the rest of the season for nights like tonight?

Thoughts on signing AD for the rest of the season for nights like tonight?

Back when Tony's original injury occurred a couple weeks ago, I was all for bringing in a backup PG. At this point, I'd wait until the trade deadline to see if a backup PG gets thrown into a trade (e.g.- Pargo in a Bulls trade). Of course, there are so few games between now and the deadline, this point is relatively moot.

Actually, Tony is just messing with you all. Turns out TD just asked him during the player's meeting to rest and play more World of Warcraft tonight...

It's a good thing!!!!

It gives GH a chance bounce bck from the LA game and a "revenge" oportunity from his last game against Billups (interesting to see if he took some lessons from that game)
The whole team will maybe act like they have nothing to loose and gel (at least tonight)
+ Another a game against Denver without Parker can be a good thing if we meet them in PO...

First I was disapointed/mad, because it's 4.34AM here, but I finaly look forward to this game, it will be interresting (surprising?)I think
