We'd be getting the next greatest power forward of all time in JJ Hickson anyway, so this is a no brainer

Wouldnt even workout for the Cavs. 2 Superstars on one team with LBJ will fail.
:lol:lol TD's different, they'd be fine
and then if we could unload Manu for some picks, and Parker for a good young player and a pick as well, we could easily be back on top in a couple of years
and in the interim, it'll still be fun to watch Blair, GHill, Mason, Bonner, Mahimni etc.

If the Spurs buy out Shaq and Z wouldn't they then go back and sign with the Cavs? Which then destroys the whole reason behind the trade, no?
and Parker for a good young player
Ya...if only we could get a good, young and proven player for Parker.
It'd be even better if Parker were already all of those things.

Granted he ain't old, I wouldn't label Parker as "Young". I know he's 27, but this is his 9th season in the NBA and has played 777 career games. IMO, that's not young.

Parker has already peaked, all he ever really beat defenses with was his obscene speed and quickness, and now those are all but gone, there are plenty of players in the NBA quicker than TP already now, let alone in 2-3 years when the rebuilt Spurs rise from the ashes
