I wouldn't wait up. Doesn't sound like the Spurs will get aggressive until after the Rockets and Knicks figure out what they are doing.

Rockets recruit Kings in McGrady talks

By Adrian Wojnarowski, Yahoo! Sports 14 minutes ago

As talks with the New York Knicks stalled on Wednesday night, the Houston Rockets quietly recruited the Sacramento Kings as part of a three-team trade discussion that would deliver Tracy McGrady to the Chicago Bulls, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

The proposed deal was contingent on John Salmons staying with the Bulls, but that appeared in doubt with the Milwaukee Bucks expecting to complete their own trade for Salmons.
In the proposed trade, the Rockets would get Kenny Thomas, Andres Nocioni, Beno Udrith and a Kings’ protected No. 1 draft pick. Sacramento would acquire Tyrus Thomas, Brad Miller and Salmons from the Bulls. The deal would cleare cap space for the Bulls this summer and save the Kings as much as $15 million in salary next year.
One source with knowledge of the Knicks’ talks with the Rockets said New York isn’t enthused about Houston’s demands. The Rockets want to trade first-round picks in 2011 and take the Knicks’ 2012 pick. They also have asked for cash, the source said.
It is unclear whether the Bulls will try to revive talks with the Rockets if they complete their trade with the Bucks. However, Houston clearly is worried about where the discussions with New York are headed as the deadline looms on Thursday.
Y! Sports NBA reporter Marc J. Spears contributed to this story.

Houston has been very good the last few years in personnel decisions. I wonder if they're overplaying McGrady, however. With the proposed trade (needing Salmons to go thru) I don't get why the Rox would want Kenny Thomas, Udrih or even Nocioni. The first rounder's not bad.

Maybe the Spurs FO felt after beating the Pacers (bearly) last night that their team is back as contenders once again?

So, we are where we left off. :(

I guess even with a trade we wouldn't have been true contenders either way. Dice and Jefferson haven't worked out as well as we hoped they would at the beginning of the season.

Then my hopes for the last half of the season would be to see a lot more physical play on Defense, especially from the role players. The rest of the season will let the Spurs know which players are worth their mettle and which ones the Spurs need to ship out as soon as possible this summer.

I just hope Pop gets his head out of his ass because starting line-ups with Bogans and Bonner makes me think he's a drunk old fool.

I consider the Spurs the dark horse now. They can punish some teams and destroy their dreams on given nights but not on a consistent basis.
