Now....IIRC isn't the cutoff date March 1 for active players on your roster for playoffs...doesn't a player HAVE to be on your roster on March 1 to be on your playoff roster? Is this not correct?
So if the Cavs have to wait 30 days.....Z is not eligible for the playoffs....correct?

Yes, he can still play for them in the playoffs..

Have to be waived by March 1st, not on your team. Remember Brent Barry played for S.A. after being traded in a similar deadline deal.

Not necessarily true. Z matches up better with Gasol than any of the other Cavalier bigs.

But I still think LA is favored in a 7 game series
