IMO without a trade the Spurs chances of a title this year are slim. With the trades made recently it doesn't look good for the Spurs.

Let's hope this is CIA Pop.

Either way, I'm sick and tired of his schtick.

Pop simply stated he doesn't expect a trade to happen--that doesn't really mean shit one way or the other.

Meh, no. I said about 2 weeks ago that I wouldn't be surprised if the Spurs didn't make a move. But let's not pretend that this season is the same as seasons past. This team is not a contender right now, and so a move would make sense if we're really interested in not wasting Duncan's last few seasons.

We even have the expiring contracts to pull a fairly good move.

Sure, but when the Spurs are dealing, you hear it from the other teams. Just like Woj mentioned the Spurs shopping RJ or Dice. I just haven't heard enough stuff out there to think we're getting any major move done. I hope I'm wrong.

And yes, Pop never says anything about trades. That I agree with you

I have two statements to all the "fans"

1. pop has never and will never blog about a trade in the works. Hes not going to tweet it either. if you ask him in a press conference hes not going to tell you. Until it is done he is going to stay quiet so this means nothing.

2. No trade happening DOES NOT equal "r.c/pop did not try." Just like the RJ deal not working out does not make pop/r.c idiots. The fact that no other team wanted our bench players or Jefferson does not mean that the spurs weren't on the phone the last week trying to make the teamn better. So please, save the whining.

I don't think we are saying that it's more like we didn't try hard enough and I don't want to jump ship but our season is disintegrating right before our eyes and TIMMY is only got it for so much longer you know?

When is Pop going to address his moronic decisions?

Hey man we have alot to look forward to! In a night after a big win and after the break they start Bogans and BONNER! YEAH THATS A POSITIVE :bang:depressed. GOOD LORD why couldn't that deal fall in place with Bonner and Mason for Salmons? I swear we are cursed this year, and our IDIOT coach is not helping it with the lineups.

Personally, I've always thought it was easier to get the players that you want at the Feb trade deadline, when teams are desparate. The point being, those same players the Spurs were after via trade probably will not be available this summer.

No more anecdote or speculations the Spurs roster is fix and there will be no trades.

I suspect it means that for the players out there who were available, they weren't trading them to us for less than Hill or Blair. And I am glad Pop didn't give up on those two - not for ANYONE who was available, not even after Blair's terrible game last night.
