After they dump McGrady they can sign two max players and get a couple of stars in one season. They can leverage both max players at the same time making it easier to sign them both, knowing that the other max player is also on board. Good move by NY to take this chance.

It's a great move for sure, they have no other choice..

It's obviously smarter to take the risk of signing a superstar/star or 2, instead of taking the risk in the draft and signing a question mark of a player..

I really hope either Nets or Knicks get lucky and get some good players, heck any team getting better besides Lakers and Mavs I'll be down for

I love how everyone assumes the Knicks are going to get a superstar, any superstar, this summer. What's the best FA player they've signed in the last 20 years? Allan Houston?

They'll probably blow at least one of those contracts on Rudy Gay or someone like that.
