Newly-minted Sen. Scott Brown (R-MA) appeared on Fox’s Neil Cavuto and showed none of the outrage and concern about terrorism that he exuded during his Senate election campaign. Asked for his reaction, Brown said he felt for the families, but quickly shrugged off the attack and transitioned to say that “people are frustrated” and “no one likes paying taxes...

"I don't know if it's related, but I can just sense, not only in my election, but since being here in Washington, people are frustrated, they want transparency, they want their elected officials to be accountable and open, and talk about the things that are affecting their daily lives. So I'm not sure if there's a connection, I certainly hope not, but we need to do things better."

Pfff...if this guy was doing it for the war in Iraq or Afghanistan he'd be a lefty commie, tree-hugger...so why should we simply dismiss his sympathy with a common tea bagger cause? Now I'm not saying that he was a active tea-bagger, just that they shared a common cause...

..and obviously, Brown agrees..

AUSTIN, TEXAS -- Joe Stack, the 53-year-old software engineer who allegedly flew a single engine aircraft into an Austin-based IRS office on Thursday morning, is more than just a criminal or possible domestic terrorist.

He was also a musician who played the bass and accordion in a band that once crooned about how the world just isn't made for autistic people.

They are the Billy Eli Band, according to CBS News, fronted by Texas singer/songwriter Billy Eli, featuring Joe Stack, Ric Furley and Jim Hemphill.

The "Band" section of their Web site does not mention Stack, however a domain search for his name turned up numerous results.

Stack, a longtime IT worker turned alleged suicide bomber, played the bass and accordion, and sang a little.

Remember when the teabaggers were going to symbolically throw a bunch of tea bags all over the place during one of their teabagging rallies, but when they were told that they'd get cited for littering, they cowered like bitches and put their purchased tea bags in a storage closet. I don't know what such cowardice has to do with this guy, but man, teabaggers sure are pussies. In general.

He was pretty pissed off. Obama made alot of promises about healthcare, another wasted tax Stack paid for. He wanted the government to get his pound of flesh, just so happens Obama has been the government the past year. I guess he didn't see the hope and change.

If Stack was a victim, it was of his own stupidity..

IRC, this group was one of those "common law" groups that set up mirror governments and declared that the "sovereign" state of wherever didn't have to abide by the US Constitution. They are also loosely affiliated with the Posse Comitatus white supremacists, militias and other garden variety Anti-government fringers. It's all part of that great American wingnut tapestry.

Obviously, I'm just guessing that one or both of these scams are what this guy was referring to, but it fits. If it was, then this fellow was not only an anti-tax loon, he was a victim of anti-tax loons, which makes him a double dupe.

Neighbor Elbert Hutchins said he ran to the house while calling 911 and saw flames coming out of an upstairs window. Soon he saw a woman and a girl drive up in a car.

Neighbors believe that was Stack’s wife and daughter, who is about 12 years old.

Just today at a tea-bagger party, a speaker caught on camera called for a public lynching of a U.S. Senator..

The unidentified woman, captured by a local television crew while speaking from the podium Saturday, told the crowd in Clarkston that Murray should suffer the same fate as the character Jake in the western "Lonesome Dove."

"What happened to Jake when he ran with the wrong crowd?" the woman asked. "He got hung. And that's what I want to do with Patty Murray.

Yet at the same time, the joke we call the American medical system, including the drug and insurance companies, are murdering tens of thousands of people a year and stealing from the corpses and victims they cripple, and this country’s leaders don’t see this as important as bailing out a few of their vile, rich cronies.

Yeah Dan, he sounds just like the people at the tea parties.

Stack's suicide note, an angry rant against the IRS and the government which was posted online the morning of his death, got around 20 million hits before it was taken down at the request of the FBI, according to Alex Melen, president and founder of T35, the network service provider for the Web site where the note was posted.

Melen, 25, said within minutes of taking the note down, the company was "bombarded" with around 3,000 e-mails demanding Stack's words be reposted. Some of the e-mails contained personal threats against Melen.

"What's funny is most people were pretty much praising him," Melen told ABC News.

-----

"He sacrificed his life to inspire the quest for TRUTH," one Facebook poster said. "He deserves a memorial. A one man uprising... God Bless him."

"This was quite heroic," said a member of Stormfront.org, a white supremacist Web site. "There is a gradual awakening underway."

"This is just the beginning, prepare for battle!" another said.

I was unaware there was any connection.

I just thought Stack was a rich, spoiled, weak douche who couldn't face the reality of ending up poor because he consistently made such bad decisions for himself.

Whetehr a lone nut does something for his religion or his political views, the analysis is pretty much the same. But organized groups oftentimes take advantage of these kinds of people to advance their own agendas.

In this case, Joe Stack was a lone nut who went postal in spectacular fashion. He had no material or logistical support from anyone else, as far as we know.

Because you'll find both the irs and muslims on the list of things "we" don't like. So Stack gets the "......but I get where he was coming from" justification and Hassan doesn't.
