Rose > Westbrook.

Last year...but I think Russ is giving him a lot of competition this year. And I think he will be an Allstar next year.....YES i realize Deron and Cp3 will both be healthy...

Russel Westbrook 16.3ppg 7.5apg 5.1rpg .412%

Derrick Rose 20ppg 6apg 4rpg .477%

Sigh @ 78

I give you Cp3 and Deron obviously but

I LVOE DC! Love him!

But no chance in hELL he will be as good as Westbrook.

At UCLA yes...but not in the league man.

I disagree. Other than size and athleticism, he pretty much will be better at everything compared to Westbrook. He will be more of a PG.

I'm actually surprised at how good Westbrook is playing. I suggested last season Westbrook would end up being more of a SG, but he's surprised me somewhat this season.

A lot of production stats have Rose and Westy identical IIRC...and thats with Westbrook shooting 41%....

His defensive is RIDICULOUS...I don't know if you guys have watched any OKC games but..

Westbrook impacts EVERYGAME with:
Defense
Offensive Rebounding

He ALWAYS has a BIG O board in the 4 Q. It has happened NUMEROUS times this year to where I expect it.

I forgot to mention Westbrook's rebounding. He's done a good job this season. Don't forget Collison's rebounding as well. He's been rebounding well lately too including a triple-double two nights ago.

Size and athleticism are kinda important no?

Tho DC is NOT lacking in the athleticism department...its just RW is a FREAK.

I think RW handle is fine...his passing has DRASTICALLY improved this year.

only thing DC stays ahead at is shooting IMO...though I think as RW improves his shot he will have a higher FG% then DC because of his ability to get to the rack at will...

Of course not. CP3 does everything better other than on the ball defense. Collison will be a great PG in time. May be the starting PG in NOLA in a few seasons.

Yeh...when he gets a jumper its going be scary. I just am PRAYING Presti is in Durants agent ear everyday. They need to make sure that MAX deal gets worked out asap.

And I do remember Westbrook's shot in HS and @ UCLA. He has improved it throughout the years tremendously. His mechanics in HS were AWFUL. Improved at UCLA and looks good on TV @ OKC. He will get there.

78 - I love DC. But there is no way he has the ceiling that Westbrook has. I think the majority of NBA GM's agree with me as well. Look at them at UCLA. DC had a MUCH MORE productive career at UCLA but had to stay 4 years....Westbrook barely played his freshmen year and started the majority of his sophomore year. He blew up in workouts.

I see a lot of potential in Collison, and he's been playing great in CP3's absence. He really needs to take care of the ball better though; 10 and 8 t/os in 2 of the past 4 games is pretty ridiculous.

So, I guess the question is 20 ppg, 10 apg, 7 rpg on 48% shooting in the month of February as a second-year player really >>>>>> that much better than 21 ppg, 9 apg, 4 rpg on 49% shooting in the month of February as a rookie?

Westbrook has as much physical upside as any young PG in the League. Collison isn't likely to improve too much more on these numbers (other than becoming more efficient). But right now its hard to say that one is any appreciably better than the other.

kinda easy to average 20+ ppg on hornets, since there is not one else to take the shots.

on the Thunder, durant takes majority of the shots, so obviously the point guard isnt gonna score as much.

Yeah exactly. The Hornets' offense consists of the PG handling the ball 90% of the time, OKC spreads the ball around. NO's PG is naturally gonna put up big numbers.
