Watching the Clipper game right now and I'm just wondering, Theo just sat on our bench with minimum playing time and now with bobcats he is playing grate. Dunking and blocking shots and Gooden already have 8 points with the clippers.

We had both of them in our roster and we let them go, now we're in a verge of not making the playoffs, so do you guys think Pop made a mistake by not giving these guys enough time and chance to prove them self?

Gooden has been on like eight teams in eight years. If Pop made a mistake there, he's far from the only one.

Looking for the missing big for the Spurs can really grate on you.

And let's not forget SJax & Scola among others. The NBA game has passed Pop by. He needs to pull his head out of Finley's ass and start coaching, because this Spurs team looks like they've never even seen a basketball, much less a basketball game. :ihit

Corrected grammar mistake or no, we only have one big man in the rotation. Laugh about that.

Man this sucks.

Funny how Larry Brown is playing Theo Ratliff at the 5 when his best friend would rather play Keith Bogans at the position.

That tells you how much Pop has lost his mind the past 2 years.

Brown was forced to play Theo, Chandler and Nazr out for the game and who else should he play at Center? Diaw?
But that's where you are right... If Pop would coach the Bobcats he would have played small instead of starting Ratliff.

Pop is NOT a good coach. gooden and Ratliff will continue to prove their practical ability whilst Pop's favorite Bonner does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING but hit the occassional 3, whilst giving up EVERYTHING on the defensive end.

Basketball 4 dummies: Theo and Gooden do not fit into the Spurs system, but they are playing good on other teams because they do not share our system. The Spurs have no need for a player like Theo that can be brought in to help anchor the defense when Timmy is not on the court, as we collectively enjoy clinching our assholes for fear of a defensive collapse when Timmy is not on the court. The Spurs have no need for Gooden to work the ball near the rim or get some low IQ/high energy play off the bench because Gooden is an offensive blackhole that will put it all on the line instead of playing with the finesse we have grown accustomed this season.

I now leave you to decide what is sarcasm and what is fact. :stirpot:

You know you're in trouble when you're jealous of Theo Ratliff and Drew Gooden.

Nothing to be jealous about; Theo's averaging over 20 mins and pulling down an awe-inspiring 2 boards and 4 points per game so far in CHA. If that means he's "playing great" then Ian, our seemingly favorite scrub, is playing even "greater" since he grabs 2.6 boards and 3.4 points in under 7 minutes. :sleep

I remember the few minutes theo played for spurs were solid.

It's hard to "play great" when you don't get any burn...

Interesting stat here.

Blocks per team:

San Antonio Spurs - 245

New Jersey Nets - 246

Theo had 18 of those blocks for the Spurs.

Yeah Theo and Tonto Gooden would of put this team in title contention. HA!

There needs to be a stat for altered shots. I would bet we are dead last in the NBA in that category.
