No Nash tonight. White Magic will play heavy minutes against Westbrook.

Dragic-Westbrook
JRich-Sefolosha
Hill-Durant
Amare-Green
RoLo-Krstic

Chance of victory tonight is small for the Suns, but I've seen stranger things.

Now I know why I bought LP broadband. It woulda sucked to miss a game Dragic starts.

Took a few possessions to realize they don't need Nash to survive on an NBA court but they look good.

Dragic has been out for 7 minutes. I thought he should be able to play 40. I guess Gentry doesn't want to do that.

Other than Nash, Gentry hates white people.

Suns down by 1 at halftime.....hopefully in the 2nd half J-Rich and Frye stop competing for the most valuable cuckold award and play basketball.

How did Dragic get his 5th assist? Lost the stream at the end...

DUNCANownsKOBE2

Idk how it came I was wondering that myself, but Dragic is doing a great job spreading the ball around and making the right decision.....they're attacking the offensive glass extremely well.

I've been saying it all along, it's a team wide issue, not just Nash. Looks like the pressure is getting to them. Dragic is starting to rack up the turnovers.

I agree with the part about us losing with him tonight, they needed great D to close the game out. When I'm being 100% serious, I'll admit they're a better team with Nash. I just think at this point it'd be better to trade Nash and watch the young players grow on their own.

Dragic with a career-high 10 assists in a career-high 40 minutes. His first double-double of his career.

Xylus
02-23-2010, 10:46 PM
The Suns are a better team with Nash, as evidenced by Dragic's poor play in the 4th quarter. But I think once Dragic gets a few games like this under his belt, where he's responsible for running the team in a playoff-like atmosphere in the 4th quarter, he'll be just fine.

The Suns' PG future is bright.

Problem is who would want an old point guard? I'm a huge Nash fan, but am realistic. Only a team that's on the verge of winning and in need of a PG would want him. Also, I think Dragic is at least a year away from being a starting PG in the NBA.

I think he played good the last few minutes. Set up two plays perfectly out of that timeout for a 5-0 run.

The Suns are way more than a year away from being a contender so the later doesn't bother me. Idk who would want him now, but before the extension Portland offered a package of young players.

He had some great moments, but he also had like 4 TO's during the period, as well. Don't get me wrong, I love White Magic, but he's got a ways to go before he's a star PG.

DUNCANownsKOBE2
02-23-2010, 10:51 PM
And why is Dragic a year away from being a starter? He just had 16 points and 10 assists, the TO's will go away once he gets more late game experience.

True, maybe Dragic is at the point that Gentry will trust him enough to rest Nash more. Nothing would be better than to get Nash's minutes under 30 and Dragics roughly the same.

DUNCANownsKOBE2
02-23-2010, 11:17 PM
I won't mind Nash so much if they slowly cut his minutes and slowly lessened their reliance on him. It just does nothing for our future to have him do everything on offense for 35 minutes every night.

Boy, was I right about Richard Jefferson.

Boy, was I WRONG about Goran Dragic. He couldnt even hit the rim in pre-season. Im not exaggerating. He air-balled shot after shot and I told DOK "This guy doesnt even belong in the LEAGUE".

Now, I think he's the best backup PG in the league and Im genuinely excited to have him as our future PG. He's not a gimmicky shooter like Eddie House. He can run the offense and he's got that Ginobili step-back, left-handed shot that is MONEY!

Dragic and Dudley. UNTRADEABLE!

Goran Dragic
02-24-2010, 12:59 AM
It's a shame Dudley doesn't have at least some athleticism. He's so good at somehow getting himself open right under the hoop, but he gets blocked all the time because of how unathletic he is.

And yeah, lol all the defensive, "You're a Suns fan, so that means you have no idea how Jefferson would fit on the Spurs, 4 rings, faggot," posts aimed at you about Jefferson.

Calm down about trading Amare Kamnik. Amare was a huge help to Dragic last night and stepped up big time to make it easier for him. However, if they traded Nash for that package Portland offered last summer (my guess is it was for Jerrod Bayless, Travis Outlaw and MAYBE Webster or Fernandez), they'd have a really nice young core of players to build around with amare. It would be sick to see Bayless and Dragic on the court together, a lot of athleticism in that back court.

I'm probably the biggest non-Slovenian Dragic fan on this site and I didn't even think he'd play so well this year. I expected an improved jumper, I didn't expect him to suddenly turn into a 40% shooter from long range, that's fuckin ridiculous given how shitty his jumper was last year. What's even more impressive about that is he did it while putting on muscle over the off season.

Also, good point about Manu. All these fuckin Parker comparisons on draft day, Dragic seems a lot more like Manu than Parker, largely cause that step back J from the top of the key is vintage Ginobili.
