The coffee in these road-side stores is watery crap.
The least number of coffee grounds that produces tasteless, worthless brown-colored water. Not the Spurs fault, excellent idea.

Why not do it at Starbucks or othe serious coffee shops?

It aint cheap to give away product.

It aint cheap to give away product.

:lol How much does giving away a couple of cups of water with 3-4 coffee grounds in them going to hurt DS's bottom line?

Fine.

It wont hurt them to give away a product.

How fuckin dumb can you be.

The cups of coffee obviously costs Diamond Shamrock NOTHING at all.

:rolleyes

Yeah, they obviously have no marketing budget at all. NO one's saying it's free, just that it's not "ballsy" as you put it to do what they're doing.

"product"

T_Park reveals his low-end idea of "product" when brown water in a styrofoam cup qualifies. :lol Talk about dumbass.

The "give away" costs the $000.03 outside max, and they make plenty of money off the store traffic.

Companies don't do anything that doesn't payback.

Like I said, calling a company ballsy for using its marketing budget to get customers into its stores for a 3 cent cup of coffee, many of whom would otherwise drive by DS without a second thought, is pretty stupid.

Fine.

Costs nothing.

Coffee is free to make.

The Cups are free.

The customers who usually pay a couple bucks for it now get it free means nothing......

You guys are definately business geniuses.....

Hate to break it to you TPark but there almost isn't a gas station company up here in Seatle that doesn't give away free coffee all the time, This is nothing.

Like I said, it's called a marketing budget.

And you know what? They make it back. From Joe Blow who was on E anyway and decides to fill it up to the random guy who grabs a pack of smokes after chain smoking his way through the fourth quarter last night.

There is nothing ballsy about it though.
