Parker will play vs. OKC (http://blogs.mysanantonio.com/weblogs/courtside/2010/02/parker-will-pla-1.html)
By Jeff McDonald
Tony Parker will get his wish. He will return to the Spurs' starting lineup tonight against Oklahoma City.
Parker sat out Sunday's loss at Detroit with a strained muscle in his lower abdomen. An MRI taken Monday showed Parker would not risk further injury by playing, leaving his availability subject only to his own pain tolerance.
"Tony said he wants to play," coach Gregg Popovich said in his pregame meeting with reporters earlier this evening. "He's the only one who knows how he feels. The doctors have cleared him, the training group has cleared him. Tony wants to go, so he's going to go."
With Parker available again, Popovich will trot out his 19th unique starting lineup of the season -- George Hill and Keith Bogans on the wings, Tim Duncan at power forward and Antonio McDyess at center.
