Spurs will beat Phoenix on Sunday and should position themselves in #5 seed and won't look back from then on.

Unfortunately Spurs will have to play Dallas or Utah in round 1. Probably their worst matchups besides the Lakers. :(

Prediction for round 1: There will be blood. :flag:

If the Spurs end up with the #5 seed they may end up playing Denver. Utah and Dallas have been playing really well lately.

well, so has Denver.

I just got a feeling we gonna face one of them and it's probably worst matchup possible for us.

although getting payback in Utah would be nice

And without home court. Spurs would be lucky to push it to 6 games.

Dallas would sweep us before the series would even begin.

I'd rather take on Utah

Mavs/Nuggets will easily beat us.

Utah is our best bet, but Utah's been pretty damn good this year. It won't be easy.

Well as bad as the Spurs are, they can probably still beat Phoenix...

Not really on topic but it cracks me up when people title their threads with stuff like BOLD or IMPORTANT.

I don't understand what makes this prediction bold, especially when you list two teams and not one. Thats pretty much the opposite of bold.

Out of Dallas, Denver and Utah - i would easily take Utah, they are by far the most beatable of those three teams IMO.

Good team though.

That. I think we went 4-0 on Houston in 94-95, and then they beat our asses in the WCFs. Of all of the teams in the top half, I think our odds are best against Utah.

I actually think the (healthy) Spurs could take the Nuggets at LEAST to 6 games, and maybe even win.

I think we're gonna be the 7th seed for sure. The teams we can catch up with: OKC and Phoenix have been going on winning streaks and seem to have momentum already. Our team is still playing like we don't know wtf is going on.

So it looks like we're playing Denver in the first round and may lose in 6.

Course, ANY team could probably take the Nuggets to six games, if they just keep their heads about them.

The Spurs can definitely beat Phoenix tomorrow, but they'll be the underdogs.

The Suns are playing great defense right now, rebounding well, scoring efficiently, and have won 6 of their last 7 road games (all against Western conference opponents).

But considering this is Spurs-Suns we're talking about, who knows. Seems like the Spurs are usually considered the underdogs against the Suns, but still beat find a way to win.

I hate to make any predictions, especially the way they've been playing. If they don't start putting together 3 or 4 game win streaks soon, they might not even make the playoffs...

Cleveland swept us in the regular season of 2007, too.

5-1, but only two of those games were with Drexler.

It all depends who shows up tomorrow, if Dr. Jekyll or Mrs. Hide.

Which has hardly happened all year long man, we usually go on a ten plus winning streak every year and get hot, except this year! :depressed:depressed

Spurs did have two fairly decent streaks started, but their momentum nosedived each time because Popovich "decided" it would be a good idea to bench Tim Duncan. Spurs really have never recovered from that 2nd snapped winning steak IMO.

Just goes to show how stupid Popovich is to mess with a winning streak and also the team's fledgling confidence and chemistry that was just starting to emerge. They were showing signs of being a dominant team in the west, the bench was tops in the league (affording the starters AMPLE rest time) but that wasn't good enough for Poppabitch, he had to go and put his stamp on things.
