I'm seriously starting to think Manu won't re-sign now, even if the Spurs want him to. Why would he want to chain himself to the Titanic? Pop's clearly lost it. He doesn't know how to do it anymore. I think if Manu is as serious about winning as I think he is, he'll take less money to go to a contender.

ummm, what does that have to do with anything? did he or did he not leave him open? that is all I was saying.

Give the man a little break, he hasn't played an nba game in a very long time and he hasn't had any opportunity to gell with this team. Just as Manu he needs a few games to get into his rhythm.

I have Spurs full season tickets. Been to most of the games. This team has yet to impress in any way. I have read the many threads about what is wrong but have never responded because I have no clue as to what is wrong. This team is mystery. I've never seen such bad chemistry among some pretty good talent. It's something psychological that's for sure, they have the talent.

Gotta love the officiating in this league.

You bet, and there are 2 things to do about it.
1) Get playing experience; then you don't get fucked by the refs as much... Which you can't do from the bench (Mahinmi, Hairston, Blair (somewhat)). Young bigs in particular get utterly screwed...

2) Sloan/Riley/Detroit Pistons ball. Foul hard. Foul very often; they can't actually call all of them. And after a while, the team gets a rep for playing physical, and the stupid foul calls evaporate... Why did we get away from old school spurs ball, Damnit!

What hurts me so much is that the Coach is the guy who is losing the game and not entirely the team.

Why did he start Finley and Bogus the same time?

Why did he not surround Manu and Duncan with performing players most of the time?

And when the Spurs showed signs of recovery, why didn't he get his best players on the floor to keep the fight going?

Too many questions in yet another disappointing game in a very disappointing year.

Yeah, because what happens in 55 games isn't enough to convince anyone of anything. :lol

Yeah, definitely. I agree with you that they need to be cut some slack.

I'm just saying Scola did make him look silly, and Mahinmi was quick to jump on that fake and then made a stupid push in the back. I assume Pop figures we can't afford Mahinmi guarding veteran bigs if we want(ed) to go anywhere this year.

But, for the record, I think Mahinmi should have been played earlier this season as much of everyone here. I just think he should have been the 4th big off the bench.

So who got us back in this game tonight. Not that sorry excuse for a starting 5 Pop used.

Pop was great, but he has almost had a coaching disaster this season. You've got to realize this. Larry Brown has had bad years too. Pop has to realize what he is doing wrong and try to correct it. Even Larry is playing some younger guys these days.

And like someone else said the Spurs don't get to practice at all.
