That's nasty, respect to Randolph for contesting it but damn...

He'd look mighty fine in a Spurs uniform...

TT doesn't fit Pop's qualifications seeing as he's under 30 and athletic.

Not to mention he doesn't shoot threes.

Not to mention he violated one of Pop's edicts of corporate knowledge - NO DUNKING.

We could have had Ty for nothing. It still pisses me off that they didn't move on him. Headcase or not, he might have worked it out under Pop as he seems to be doing under Larry (although it's way too early to tell whether he's generally improving or just on a surge). :pctoss

Some guys just need a solid locker room.

Nice dunk, but...

Randolph 24&10
Thomas 13&5

Tonight, Randolph 31&25 :hat

Z-Bo's turned into the reincarnation of Charles Barkley. And Tyrus is still as inconsistent as he's ever been.

For 17m a year I would hope "Z-Bo" is a better player than Thomas.

But what Thomas does better than "Z-bo" is play above the rim and block shots (IE protect the rim)

For teams like the spurs that don't need rebounding (Duncan is > "Z-Bo" in that regard) and instead need shotblocking and rim protection Thomas is a much better choice and at 1/3 the price.

Sure, if your perimeter defense is so good that all you need is a shotblocker to funnel players into, no matter that he tends to get lost half the time watching the ball and is far too small to guard his own man, Thomas is great.

That's why he was effective in Chicago, some of the time. But it goes without saying that Chicago's players are considerably better defenders than San Antonio's, and even they got tired of him after a while.
