Phoenix should never play another game in SA. Their luck is horrible.

1) Nash-Horry confrontation

2) Duncan's game-tying 3-pointer

3) Now this.

- Duncan 3
- Richardson missed dunk

Not really. The Spurs plan works every time. Let Amare get his, and no one else goes off. Then Amare feels so bad ass, he demands Kobe money, but the Suns FO knows it is fools gold.

It is a double-pronged attack.

Even though Frye was open, by the time he got the ball it was was extremely doubtful that he could have gotten the shot off. Still, there's no point in going for the rebound in that situation, so he should have stayed behind the line.

I agree with you, but a tip in and a foul can happen. We've seen it before. So any player's instincts will drive him to the rim to rebound when a teammate is about to shoot.

I don't know if I can ever recall and tip-in+1 at the buzzer of a three-point game.

Whoever committed the foul would be buried in a hole outside Las Vegas by his coach.

pauls931
02-28-2010, 03:52 PM
Good game Spurs, but ouch!!! I can't/didn't get to see the game but a breakaway dunk? Did he try to windmill it and send it into the rafters like Dominique wilkins did years ago?

Either way, if either team was much better one goofed play wouldn't have made a difference.

san antonio spurs
02-28-2010, 03:53 PM
It has as many chances of happening than Frye shooting that three with time still left on the clock.

Richardson missed a breakaway bunny dunk with ~45 seconds left which would've tied the game. Instead, Spurs take the ball downcourt, get an offensive board after draining ~20 seconds, and finish the game with free throws.

Ouch, a layin gets you 2 points too... Oh well... Not as stupid as his 360, but I'll attribute this to the Spurs curse.

edit: I have a fix. No more dunks for Jrich in the final 2 minutes of any game, doing so results in a 1 game suspension without pay.

He dis seal the win vs. OKC but he needs to limit thses kind of mistakes he is agreat athlete but is getting older ... make a simple slam or layup ...
