That was dumb.
A few seconds left and you pass off to a guy past the three point line when you're down three? Both him and Frye were dumb for that.

wasn't Nash's fault.

He thought Frie was gonna stay at 3pt range.

Frie is the retarded one.

Nash couldn't see that he was inside the 3pt line before he passed it?

If he would of passed it behind the 3pt line and Frye ran by the ball I'd agree. There was nothing preventing Nash from seeing where he was throwing the ball.

Shoot it moron!

WOW!! Really are you this dumb.

Nash threw the ball inside the 3 pt line. The player that catches the ball will NOT catch it outside the 3pt line. It doesn't matter where the player was when he threw it. Nash knew it was going to be caught inside the 3pt line when he threw it.

It was a dumb pass, because it's highly unlikely that Frye would get the shot off in time.

But Frye accomplishes almost nothing by going for the rebound in that situation, so he should have stayed outside the line.

There's nothing to watch again. You throw the ball inside the 3pt line when nothing short of a 3pt helps you, it's YOUR fault 100% of the time.

It's the equivelent of fouling someone shooting a 3pt when you have a 4pt lead with 1 second left. There's ZERO reward to doing so.

Clock would have been at zero anyway. Nash had to shoot. It was a dumb play.

Nash passed it with 1 second left on the clock. Didn't Fisher make a shot with .4 left on the clock?

I agree it was a bad decision by Nash. But retarded? nigga please.

People get all over Payton Manning for throwing his teammates under the bus, but Nash can do it with impunity.

It was a bad play by Nash, even if the guy was standing behind the 3 pt. line he had no time at all, when he caught it there was like .03 left I ran it slomo Nash should have let it fly.

He made a mistake that cost his team the game. It happens, it was bad judgement on his part and the thread title is a little harsh. NBA players make mistakes, it's a part of the game. Nash is a very smart player but he goofed that last play. It's all about what they are feeling out there in the heat of the moment, he felt that Frye would be ready to take the 3.

But but he once kicked a basketball like a hacky sack in a dunk contest. :rolleyes

I'm as big a Nash basher as anyone, but no way he cost them the game, as it still would have taken a near-miracle to send it to OT. Having said that, not shooting the ball was a bad mistake.

This. Should have shot it. And after that 3Ball he nailed before I was 100% sure he'd make that one too.
Got lucky on the play, but who cares. Good win.

+1. You don't stop at the three and then bring it in with an assist king like Nash. To Frye's defense, he thought nash would shoot and had he gotten the ball, he wouldn't have had time to shoot it TBH IMO.

I was surprised that Nash didn't take the 3 himself... he usually makes smarter plays than what he did at the end. If anything it was Jason Richardson's missed dunk that was the big surprise... got lucky.

Agreed. He's underrated for his ability to hit clutch shots like that. I don't like when he has the ball in those situations.

Me either man lol, I remember that game one of 08 which tied it up before Gino won it, he hit a crazy three from the corner which never should go in! I respect the hell outta that guy, he is a great player and a HOF.

lol trying to blame Frye. The ball left Nash's hands with a second left, there's no way Frye would have been able to get the shot off.

I agree, whoever is blaming Frye is being an idiot in this instace. He was not at fault here at all.

I freaked when he passed it. I thought for sure he was gonna shoot it. He had just made a 3pt shot so why pass up on another one? I'm happy he passed it though.
