best game of the season for him IMO.

Best game of the year easily.

That's what being aggressive does I suppose.

He had a good game, but I've made the mistake of getting excited about one of his games in the past..

He needs to do it consistently, not just against the 29th ranked defense in the NBA..

RJ is just like the Spurs. They take one exciting step forward, then two steps back.

I just loved how he didn't settle for jumpers. I did think the team got a bit too reliant on the outside J in the 4th quarter, but jefferson was at his best when he takes it hard to rim.

On the plus side, when he was taking 3's, he was hitting them.

+1...He didnt force up bad shots or bad 3 pointers...

The last 3 games he has been super aggressive especially on the boards, and his block on amare was huge, this game was played at an intense level. the Suns came in rolling and the Spurs found a way to beat them, it wasn't pretty but if my memory serves me right, that's pretty much what Spurs basketball is all about.

:lol
This.
Again the Spurs could have lost this game if it wasn't Richardon Jason.
I would say good game Jefferson but I expect him to make more apparitions like that.
But I noticed he was more agressive the last games, and now he try to take more rebounds, play better defense, I just hope this is the real turnaround.
And it makes me mad to see Jeff at PF getting killed by Amare again god job Pop, Good Job...

Attacking the rim is the key for him. Thats his forte and what made him a 20 ppg scorer, its been frustrating seeing him basically be a glorified $14 mill jump shooter the entire season. Here's to more aggressive drives from RJ :toast

I loved he went for the blocks. I hope getting posterized doesn't make him back down. He's going to block more shots than not contesting like that.

He plays better with the second unit. The offense is a little less structured. He's freer to wave off someone like Blair and attack the rim himself.

Keep up the hard work RJ.

Manu and RJ play well together. Coming off the bench works because he seems more comfortable when he is expected to be the number one or number two option. Also, Hairston's performance in Houston will probably push RJ to be more active and aggressive or he's gonna sit.

Props to RJ for making the most out of the "pure" role we've been hearing he was given...he got some assists, got some rebounds, and made 7 of 11 shots. I found myself saying "Good RJ" instead of "dammit RJ" for most of the game.

He needs to stay hungry for whatever Pop is feeding him lately, and stay aggressive as much as he can.

Props to RJ for making the most out of the "pure" role we've been hearing he was given.

You mean like when he was playing "pure" center with 4 guards having to cover Amare?

he got caught with some dunks in his face from Amare, but he was there on the rotation taking it is the face.....THAT IS WHAT I BEEN WAITING FOR. lose the pride and be there on defense.

Good game.

The lineup of HIll, Manu, Jeff, Dice, and Duncan looked good tonight.

I'd probably be more impressed if he put up these numbers against, say the Lakers in a playoff game (or close/similar to it).

Still though, glad he played well today.

I almost can't control my happiness at the thought of him playing that well for the rest of the season...but lets see what happens tonight.

Especially impressive against a team like the Suns. As Nash said at the half interview, "When you play Phoenix, what you get is great defense.":lmao

I think RJ off the bench make a lot of sense ...
He can get more shots and not defer to the Spurs big 3 ...
A bench of him, blair and Hill should be the wing rotation along with Parker and Manu as starters ...

I know why Pop likes manu off the bench but the execution he brings to the pnr game and his passing helps make the spurs really effective ...

a top 8 of Duncan, Dice, Manu, Parker and whomever is the best defender at SF ...with RJ hill and Blair providing energy speed and hustle I STILL believe is a top 4 in the west playoff rotation ...

Seriously Spur fans how is that line up NOT better than OKC, portland, Utah, Houston etc?!

the only reason maybe utah and OKC are better is because Durant and Dwill are young studs leading their respective teams ...come playoff time I STILL would rather have TD leading my team over those guys ...

If Bogawns, Boner, and Finley's corpse weren't still being used as major pieces in the rotation I would agree with you, but Bogawns is still starting, Finley is probably giving POop head after every DNP and having Boner and his gimmick 3pt shooting is always a temptation for POop to fall back on. I don't see any of this changing significantly this year.

Look . i know you guys OWN the Suns but lately BOTH Manu and RJ have played better
Duncan is still Timmay!!
My only concern is Parker's health ...
