Family Guy steals the humor that made The Simpsons funny ten years ago and rehashes everything.

I'll agree that the concept is rehashed, the writing is still good. And, there really isn't any original comedy on TV nowadays, anyway.
On another note, American Dad is still just as awful as it was in the pilot.

I am awaiting the uncensored version a month from now. It will be airing on Adult Swim. :tu

The Simpsons were funny? I'll crack a smile every now and then, but thats about it. 10 years ago I was 15, so I might have laughed then.
Family was great tonight. It didn't miss a beat, that's true. It's still no South Park, but it's definitely the number 2 animanted show in my book, followed closely by King of the Hill at Number 3.
Southpark? :nope :td
I have never seen an episode of Southpark. It doesn't interest me at all.
The Family Guy > Southpark..by a mile and a half.

Man, the part with Jepeto bending over had my friends and I dying laughing. Brian dragging his ass on the carpet was classic too.

the Jepeto thing was hilarious.
I gotta say Mel Gibson shooting the lock to get to the gun that looked the same was hilarious.

The day Duff comes with an original thought, is the day hell freezes over.

I must seriously be the only person in America who didn't love the new episode. I usually like Family Guy, but the new episode was just lame. I actually liked American Dad better, and I thought that was the one that was going to suck. I don't think I laughed once during Family Guy, and while American Dad wasn't exactly hilarious, it did manage to get a couple of snorts of laughter out of me. I'll keep watching the new episodes, but if it doesn't pick up I'll stop watching, label Seth McFarlane the next George Lucas and hope FOX cancels it quickly before it ruins the good name of Family Guy. At least I'll still have the old episodes on DVD to take me back to happier times.

as you can tell by my avatar, i love the simpsons. but the show "jumped the shark" a good six years ago. i don't even watch the new episodes. i just can't wait to have the first eight seasons on dvd.
family guy was pretty good tonight. i felt they were still not in perfect rhythm, but it will only be matter of time. glad to see the show back.
the show that followed it .. american dad, i think. wow. what an awful show. i watched the first act and it was just too painful to witness

They had a crapload of new writers that don't know what the hell they are doing. Their jokes are garbage. Then they rehash a bunch of old episodes that they did already (IE Frank Grimes Jr.) What a joke.
They also are trying too hard to be hip, and it's not anymore. Every week that have some celebrity voice, and it's usually whoever is hot at the time.

uhhh
Muslims list a little higher on the whacko meter than christians in my book.
Also, the joke about Mel Gibson having Nazi stuff??
If I were Gibson I would have to bust out the lawsuit.

I'm a huge fan of FG and didn't find last night's episode to be all that funny.
I did love the opening joke, though.

family guy in 2005 is equivalent to Nirvana in 1995-96 everyone started loving them due to overexposure on tv and radio and because they were no more, when they didnt even know it existed a few years before
most of you guys were watching friends on thursday nights in 2001 and 2002

Ha, I like your analogy, because I freely admit that I didnt really like Nirvana and didnt really listen to them until the aformentioned time period, I was too busy listening to actual good bands like soundgarden, pearl jam, alice in chains and metallica, etc. I am glad that I did have a period where I listened to them because they do have a few good songs, but I would only put them as 3rd best band from that musical style (if even that). As far as family guy goes, they rock the house.
