Takes away the sting of that brutal loss to the Spurs yesterday.

Goran Dragic single-handedly destroyed the entire Denver squad.

Held the Nuggets to 42.9% shooting and outrebounded them by 10.

"Every time you mention defense and the Suns, people get these sarcastic smiles on their faces," Gentry said. "But we are getting better defensively."

Too bad they didn't show it against the Spurs yesterday.

looks like Grant Hill played well

I know Frye had a good game, but Frye, at this point, is using Phoenix to net a larger contract after this year. Meanwhile, Lopez still has two years cheap. Can he please get 30 minutes of play a night?

Even if he is trying to get a big contract, if he's playing as well as he did tonight, you almost have to leave him on the court. The 2nd unit was destroying out there with Frye and Amundson.

Coincidentally Nash played 40 minutes against the Spurs.

Good to see Lou have a comeback game, he's been struggling lately.

That is a coincidence, though. The bench played poorly yesterday, and Dragic didn't have much of an impact in his 16 minutes of play.

When Nash plays heavy minutes and the bench barely plays, the D sucks. That's not a coincidence. That means a unit led by Dragic will play better D than a unit led by Nash.

The bench played pretty poor D yesterday.

But I'm not going to argue with you, a Dragic-led unit always plays better D than a Nash-led unit.

Nash -4 in 31 minutes.

Dragic +20 in 17 minutes.

Yeah I agree it played poorly. IMO you've gotta give it consistent minutes, glad to see Gentry got back to it playing it tonight.

Well he had 5 assists with no turnovers, and he didn't really "play" 16 minutes because part of that time was spent standing still and watching Nash play.

Only 16 min? WTF Gentry!?

Behind coach Brown from Cavaliers this guy must be the second worst coach in the lague...
(no, I am not counting the coaches from sucky teams in)

Any Nash-led team cannot play defense. Dragic actually plays the lanes tightly and hovers near spot up shooters. Nash all his career has a habit of just putting his hands up... to no avail.
This second unit that the Suns have might be the best in the league when it comes to clamping down on opponents or banging boards.

btw, Nuggets fans in the other forum are crying that this was a back to back... so what, EVERY NBA squad has a couple back to backs.. doesn't mean you come out flatfooted. Not to give much praise to the Mavs but after they beat my Hornets they got on the team plane in the morning and still came out with effort against Charlotte.

All it takes is effort and you can't cry about back to backs when your team gets bent over by the Suns the next day.

Coon D'antoni is beginning to piss me off more and more with the bullshit PT Nash is getting over Goran.

And that's somehow Dragic's fault for not being able to get a rhythm going with 15 minutes of PT :rolleyes

Popovich is the worst coach in the NBA this season.

Don Nelson wouldn't give Keith fucking Bogans rotation minutes let alone put him in the starting line-up. :bang

Eh I won't argue there. I don't understand what his deal is, this isn't a mistake he would make two years ago. Fortunately Hill is getting the PT he deserves, granted Popovich needed to lose a playoff series and realize Hill would have helped them in the series before playing him.

I disagree with Don Nelson being the worst coach of the season. His hand is being forced because his players go down like a heap and he plays a bunch of D-Leaguers with Curry and Ellis. Biedrins has been nothing but a load of boat crap this season and Nelson threw him under the bus. Kiki of the Nets sholdn't even be a coach on the other hand. I am not supporting Nelson and I think he is a bad coach but he is not the worst this season.

It's not easy to play well when your coach throws you under the bus.

Maybe he's not the worst coach THIS season, but he's overall the worst coach in the NBA.

That's true, that's why I get so mad when "Pop apologists" say that he can't do anything wrong and that there's a reason for him not playing Mahinmi or Hariston.

What was the reason for him not playing Hill at the beginning of the Mavs/Spurs series last season?

Suns are a pretty good team. They are not contenders but a good team. Just like the Spurs.

Coaches in every sport at both the collegiate and professional get so caught up with "veteran experience" and it bites them in the ass constantly. Not something I'll ever understand.

The Suns are a good team, DUMB (missing wide open dunks to lose games) but good. The Spurs are pathetic. That win against you guys is fools gold for the Spurs fans.

:lol I see what you mean. I don't really think Spurs fans are making a big deal about it though, I've seen a few of them say "Hopefully they can get something going" or something along those lines, but it's not like any of them are saying, "HOLY FUCK WE BEAT THE PHOENIX FUCKING SUNS THIS MAKES US A CONTENDER!!!"
