Iverson’s Season Reportedly Over (http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=tsn-iversonsseasonreport&prov=tsn&type=lgns)
SportingNews

Allen Iverson will not play any more this season, according to CSNPhilly.com (http://www.csnphilly.com/pages/landing?Source-Iverson-Finished-for-the-Season=1&blockID=189213&feedID=704). The 76ers are expected to make an official announcement in the next day or two.

The Web site reports a source confirmed that Iverson, who has been on leave since a Feb. 20 game, will not return this year. Iverson left the Sixers and missed five games in early February to be with his ill 4-year-old daughter.

Iverson missed the All-Star Game despite being voted by the fans as a starter, but returned to the 76ers for three games in the middle of the month. Iverson played 25 games total in his return to Philadelphia.

Interesting. Assuming he's released till tomorrow this allows him to join a new team for the playoffs. I'm pretty sure no playoffs team is interested in signing him but a couple of timely injuries...
