I always thought the real workers are people who paint houses, wait on tables, or drive all day. I used to think people who are behind a desk are not really working. Well that was before today. I started a new Job last week and I was told it would be answering a phone and downloading photos into a computer.

Well I found out i have to make folders for each client and I have to enter each client in the computer and put their names address phone number and account number. It took me half a day to do it. I didn't go to lunch till 1:45pm.

Then I had to make copies of each case and file therm in separate folders. I was ready to quit and go back to inspecting the house's. I had no idea how hard office workers work until now and I apologize to anyone who I may have called a lazy ass in the past.

I am used to going to different places in San Antonio and placing bids on paint, wood floors,etc...but after my back went out I just stayed home and did minor laptop repairs.

But now i have a job that these people have more work then they have people. I end up doing all kinds of things from making coffee to moving cars and trucks around so people can get in and out. and I also do data entry and i help the workers load the trucks, I set up PC's make beer runs, take out the trash, and they want me to download movies and music off the torrents.

right when I think it's ok to call it a day they have something else for me to do. right now I am looking for a vehicle that is 3,500.00 10 minutes from now I might be ordering a pizza.

I am not complaining what i am saying is i had no idea office workers worked so hard,

I know what you're saying. I've had both blue and white collar jobs. One is a physical exhaustion the other is a mental exhaustion. 2 different feeings but both as tireing as the other.

Right now the room is full of people at least 13 people drinking beer and sharing info.

You see this weather proofing is a hot business to get into.

Anyone here looking to start a business this is it. All you do is go to three houses a day and take pictures and gather readings to see how much energy they are using and wasting, then at the end of the week you send in the reports and get your money.

right now there are only three companies doing it in San Antonio. and they have to turn down work.

Right now us and our so called rivals who we secretly meet as friends are telling us about surprised inspections and what the government is looking for.

It's like if Peter Holt and Mark Cuban got together to talk about the refs and Coaches.

If anyone is interested in going into this business, or wants a job PM me.

if fact they clown around since it's a house they are working in, they both do open mic stand up.

Not having a job is better than working at a slaughterer house and having to cut the throats of innocent chickens or cows.

Why would someone get a job dishwasher at a hole in the wall Mexican food restaurant when they can get food stamps and cash from the government?

People like me who served in the military and worked for 17 years paying taxes has to endure ridicule from posters in this forum on being lazy and not succeeding in life by those who are above the scum who don't have a job because of their psychical condition or fucked up situation.

Even if i was president of Monster.com I wouldn't judge a person by if they are working or not until I learn more about them

It only takes a souped up resume to get a good job ,but it takes a lot of class to keep it.

my 2 cents............

I had a desk job for 5 months back in 2008. It was very boring the and the days went by really slow. The schedule was nice and being inside with the AC on during the summer was sweet too. Desk jobs are only cool if you have work that will either keep you busy all day or at least steady through the day.

My job I am 3rd in command,(not by choice)
I can eat ,drink,or get on the PC to post at anytime. I have the radio on as I talk about NASA or the age of the Earth with my boss who is 1st in command he is literally the THNIC

The Head ###### In Charge! for some of you white folks.

This man runs the whole company and he has me in his office when he could have anyone in his office.

He likes me and thinks I am smart and funny. You need to spend a day in a house with a mouse.

the coffee is free! :toast

I'd go nutz with a job like that. I have been asked several times to go into management, but I always say no, and maybe when I'm ready to be less physically active. I like the challenges of fixing problems as a technician. I have no desire yet to tell other technicians what to do. Maybe when I near 70, but being in my 50's, I have no desire to have such a thankless job.
