So I started re-watching this show and man there are so many flaws to point out. :lmao Like how Zach and company dominate every extra curricular school activity. Or the one episode where they are against drugs and it is only the gang who shoots that commercial. Or their version of parties not involving alcohol and everybody going to them. :lmao

bostonguy
03-04-2010, 05:56 PM
Or how they(Zach,Lisa,Screech) go from JR High in Indiana to High School in Cali where they already know the rest of the gang. No story development whatsoever.:lmao

spursncowboys

Also how could I forget how they just threw those episodes with that biker chick Torrie in. Kelly and Jessie just disappear and then appear again with no explanation. :lmao

He humped her and dumped her, so what? It does happen in RL...

How about when everyone's fingers turn green because of their class rings are fake? What about the class action law suit? Maybe it went down after all and that's how everyone paid for college?

Yeah

they had two graduations and two senior years too, one with torrie and one with Kelly and Jesse

Best episodes besides the no hope with dope is college years where slater discovers he's Mexican

rofl

and the attic where belding teaches the photography class and they're all tired from partying all night, beldings showing slides of his vacation to seaworld while slater and Zack are falling asleep and beldings like "notice the use of shadow and light... I Saidddd notice the use of shadow and light!" while he pounds in the desk and they wake up and zacks like " yes yes Shamu does have an overbite!"

rofl good old fasioned clean American humor I still say that shit

can't leave out the Zack attack behind the music too, that's a pretty rare episode, it's like the seinfeld puerto rican day parade

fucking classics

Also there is really only one classroom

Class action lawsuit? I am trying to remember that episode.

Haha, nah, there was no lawsuit. But logic dictates that if a con man sells a school rings that are defective and turn your hand green...there is some legal fallout. But I didn't see any law suit, so I am suspicious.

I'm also partial to the episode where Slater leaves wrestling to become a chef, Zack finding out he's part indian, and Belding's brother being a substitute.

Ohhh, and the mall one where they want U2 tickets. Or the study one where Kelly puts the moves on Screech and eventually Zack/Slater go to the George Michael concert.

SO many awesome episodes, where is originality these days?

doobs
03-04-2010, 06:33 PM
It was amazing the way that show would just invent plots and characters that could be dropped and immediately forgotten.

If Artie was Slater's best friend, why did he only appear in the episode where he died? Wouldn't Slater have mentioned him before?

Kelly's sister came out of nowhere and developed a crush on Zack while he was pretending to be an Australian teen-help telephone guy. What ever happened to that teen-help line anyway?

Nothing beats the Tori crap, though.

I'm am firmly within the "Saved by the Bell" generation. I loved the show when it was on and would be surprised if there was a single episode that I didn't see at least twice during its run (some I saw far more than that, of course).

That being said, I don't remember any of this shit off the top of my head, and I'm admittedly a little frightened that anyone does.

That's because the episodes where they're in Indiana weren't called "Saved by the Bell." I forget what it was called, whatever their teacher's name was, it was something like that. They changed it later on after SBTB got popular and they wanted to re-air those episodes. It had a different song for the credits and everything.

When they changed it they would have older Zack do a little intro and then start the show. Those intros weren't in the originals.

Born 1978. Like I said, prime "Saved by the Bell" generation. I watched it constantly, remember being able to identify each episode within the first few seconds since I'd seen them so often, but it just isn't one of the shows that has stuck in my memory. I'd assume it's because I haven't watched even a minute of the show in 15 or so years, but there are other things that I haven't seen in that long that I still remember vividly. Strange, really.

Degrassi focuses on more realistic situations and problem in life. However, they also deal with a lot of touchy things like abortion, being gay, drugs, divorce, becoming paralyzed, etc...
Saved by the Bell was rated like TVG and Degrassi is like TV14 or TVMA. Degrassi always had episodes about mature shit while Saved By the Bell was about having fun and not having to deal with real problems.

How sad

I went to school in round rock for a while in 8th grade they made us watch the original degrassi in health class for some reason to teach us lessons, i noticed it was always fucked up and something wasn't right about the kids or the show, like it was literally alien or set In a bizarro world. Then when the new degrassi got moderatly popular i realized it was Canadian and that explained it all

And most of the time the movie would start without previews and begin with some kind of intense action scene, why don't they make movies like that? It's awesome!

Last night on Jimmy Fallon they had a California Dreams reunion, it was pretty tight but sad because they revealed only 5 of 7 SBTB actors wanted to reunite. Who are the 2 prideful schmucks that didn't want to make the public happy? Zack, Slater, and Belding were obviously down for it.

After Zack was always there for Kelly, that Jeff bastard just strolls in, uses his position of power at the Max to impress her, and snatches her up and takes her V card. I can't imagine Zack taking that that dude's sloppy seconds, but obviously he really had strong feelings for Kelly and saw beyond it. But damnnnn.

I'm also looking for clips from the episode where Kelly can't go to the dance, so Zack sets up an outdoor dance for them to make her feel better about being poor. It was awesome, remember that? Cuz Kelly sure didn't when she was banging Jeff in the Max's kitchen after closing. :ihit

I'm also looking for clips from the episode where Kelly can't go to the dance, so Zack sets up an outdoor dance for them to make her feel better about being poor. It was awesome, remember that? Cuz Kelly sure didn't when she was banging Jeff in the Max's kitchen after closing. :ihit

I felt zero sympathy for that dickhead when his brains got sucked out in Starship Troopers.

Who is the hated person in the SBTB generation? JEFFREY HUNTER! That bastard broke up the greatest couple in television history.

I put him in my 5th step. I have mad resentment towards Jeff. That mother fucker.

Starship Troopers...man, that movie was all kinds of win. I'll never forget it because I got involved in my first car crash right after seeing it.

On Jimmy Fallon, Mark-Paul Gosselaar claimed Zach Morris was real and Mark was his character. That's how the interview went. Pretty funny for the Saved By The Bell nerds.

That was too funny how that just happened. Gotta love the writers.

the jr high episodes were when it was on disney and it was called a different name. then nbc bought it and the older episodes changed them all to "saved by the bell" and moved them to high school.

If you were born between 1977 and 1986 there was no way you could not see 10 episodes a week

it was on saturday, in the mornings and then after school from 3-7 on like 3 different channels, sometimes they same ones were on different channels at the same time

If you were an exchange student In America for 2 weeks you could see the entire series if you tried

tbs.

They still show it on abc for an hour on saturday at ten in the morning. I just can't not watch it if I'm awake. Even if I'm hung over.

Remember how Screech's robot disappeared freshman year and they never talked about it again....and how Screech gradually started succumbing to dementia and became a retard by the time he was a senior? Which is why he had to go to Generic Cal U with the rest of the gang for college?

Degrassi?

How sad

I went to school in round rock for a while in 8th grade they made us watch the original degrassi in health class for some reason to teach us lessons, i noticed it was always fucked up and something wasn't right about the kids or the show, like it was literally alien or set In a bizarro world. Then when the new degrassi got moderatly popular i realized it was Canadian and that explained it all

there's only so many shows you can do about ottawa and hockey and snow and shit

the country of Canada should be ashamed of that show

Same here. Never saw the original Degrassi in it's syndicated run but the school showed us plenty of episodes in 8th grade for some reason. Can't remember much of it besides the episode where the school installs condom machines and the douche kid fills them up with water and uses them as projectiles. One of the kids also takes a bet that he'll walk through the cafeteria naked(to make a payment on his car).

Like mookie said, anybody born in his specified time frame probably has SBTB imprinted in their minds. I preferred when they used a different set than the standard shit like the school and the Max; I remember the murder mystery episode in the mansion being retardedly fun(the one that ripped off Clue/Slueth and had Lisa using trap doors to get around) and the mall episode when they're out to get U2 tickets.

Kelly's mental aptitude
Jesse's T and A (hhhHhhhhhhhnaaaaaaaturally)
Tori's bad girl, too cool for school personality

jesse was only good for legs and height

kelly was perfection, even though 5 years later she totally reinvented herself by gaining 20 lbs of titty for 90210

then you had to axe yourself some serious questions

Kelly was head of the itty bitty titty committee, she obviously got implants for 90210

Jesse was the full meal deal though
height, legs, bombastic titties
check her out in Showgirls
As mookie's brother would say, "That's all natural"

I feel like the "itty bitty titty committee" carries a negative connotation, Kelly was a perky girl and if you've had the good fortune of waking up to a perky girl walking around topless in your room it's not a bad thing at all and is, in fact, pretty damn cute.

Also, found this on Kelly's wiki page in the Las Vegas Wedding section http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kelly_Kapowski

In the closing credits, the car they are riding in is seen driving over the edge of a cliff, followed by a fireball appearing a few seconds later. It is speculated that this is a reference, and perhaps the culmination of, a pact that Kelly and Zach made in episode 5 of season 3, the details of which had never been revealed.what the hell? lol

How have we not mentioned the Earthquake episode? Tori flips her shit and Zach delivers Beldings baby and then Belding names his kid Zach or something. I loved that one.
