You're mad at Kobe, who was on fire, but not Gasoft's charmin ass, Bynums dumb ass, or Fisher's stupid ass?

c'mon, son.

Kobe was red hot in the fourth quarter. It's hard to argue with giving the guy the ball when he is draining every shot.

Except...

The problem with Kobe-time, even if he's making every shot, is it gets all the other Lakers out of offensive rhythm. After Kobe put up something like 12 straight points, it's got to be surprising when any one of the other players finds himself with the ball, let alone with the shot. The Heat did the right thing of finally trapping or doubling Kobe to get him to pass off, and none of the other Lakers seemed poised to take the strike.

Even when Kobe is going Jordan-mode, it's harder to stop a hot team than it is to stop a hot player...

I dont mind Kobe's shooting. It was his horrible defense on Q-rich that pissed me off. The guy got 7 threes.

Kobe's offense was great..I didn't even feel like he was hogging the ball TBH..the Lakers weren't scoring anything even when he was off, which was embarrassing, because Wade was off for most of that time too..the Lakers were playing even basketball w/o Kobe and Wade on the floor, which should never happen against a shitty Heat team, especially with Beasley not playing well too..

His defense was horrible though, but that wasn't the reason they lost(although it hurts to have QRich drop 7 3s, mostly because of the style of D the Lakers were playing)..

Bynum is such a ghost..as I've been saying for a while, this guy doesn't have the mentality to play like he should IMO..he doesn't have any killer instinct at all..

Son, I can give a shit about Kobe taking 25-30 when his 2 seven footers are playing lazy & stupid. Im more pissed about the phantom defense...No fuckin way a player like Q. Richardson should be making 7 out of 11 three's.

:wow at me actually agreeing with Harlem..Bynum has no fire in him at all & the same goes for Pau lately..Bynum had 5 TO's today..For a player thats 7 foot 1, he hardly makes an impact most of the time.

I dont really care about the coasting but Bynum has always been lazy..Pau tore it up last year..I just wish Bynum wasnt making so much cuz he doesnt deserve half of that contract. LA could of grabbed a nice PG if he was makin 6-7 mil a year less.

Well, Pau is coasting and is satisfied after winning the championship last season, along with the european championships. Feels like he doesnt really have anything to play for anymore.

Bynum is just a sack of shit. If we could get a good point guard for him i'd personally drive him to the airport. Of course, he'd probably miss the flight drinking a root beer float at the bar, so i'd have to buy my own ticket and personally escort him to the gate.

LOL son dont trip. Most teams that have won a title the year before dont try as hard..I dont know if you were around for the 3 peat years but they coasted like crazy..Its a long ass 82 game season & you know every team is gonna bring their best effort vs the defending champs..Im actually kind of happy they arent using too much energy & looking to save it for the playoff run:lol no point in taking every game serious as a fan..The players know their bodies a lot more then us.

I think I finally get Lakers fans. When Kobe chucks, he does so because he has to. When LeBron finds the open man, he's too ball dominant and is making his team worse.

BRHornet45

son how else do you expect Kobe to average 25 points per game? funny how most people look past just how terrible and selfish of a shooter he is. so he averages 25 points per game, big deal. it also takes him at least 22 shot attempts per game and a ridiculous amount of help from the league in order to do it.

This "coasting" through the regular season is old now. Time to lock down and get all cylinders going. Pau and Drew need their collecive heads out of their collective a$$ cheeks.

A chemistry driven HOT team >>> a player with the hot hand

share the damn ball.

what's funny about this, is that people look at the stats and see gasol like 4-10 or something.

yeah, mostly because he is never allowed to get into an offensive flow. the ball isn't shared enough.

you have ignored Pau this season or what?

"Yeah, now kobe should be done with all that shooting, hopefully we can get back to winning"

and stuff like

"I have to work hard on rebounds otherwise I might never get a shot attempt"

or did you forget?

Pau gasol is probably bored as fuck. unmotivated players don't try as hard.

No big deal really....they'll still make it to the finals this year. They are built for the playoffs and this team reminds of other Laker teams in repeat years.

The missed freethrows, horrible perimeter D, and the disappearing act by our supposed twin towers were the culprits in this loss. How many times did someone try an entry pass to Bynum and he'd let the ball go off his hands or feet. It was as if he had Kwameitis or something.

His 2004 days? In 2004 they still had Shaq. He isn't shooting as much as he did in 06, he's basically shooting the same he did last season. Problem is his efficiency keeps sliding and it's now at the level of those years where he'd took an insane amount of shots. He can't take advantage of playing with better teammates to get better shots and be more efficiently any more - his TS% is declining for the 4th consecutive season. Age catches everybody.
