Sony has an interesting idea to compel users to purchase full games...

The filing reads, "While a user may initially experience most or all of the full version of the game in a demonstration mode, the mode implements trigger metrics to erode game play characteristics, such as character, object, event and/or environmental features, during video game play in the demonstration mode." (Emphasis added) I remember I'd play demos a lot back in the day and rarely would it have an effect on whether I bought the game or not, but I'm curious as to why people just couldn't re-download the demo and start over fresh. I do kind of feel it's kind of cheap of Sony to do, and other than being a small shot to their image I don't think it'll help with sales.
