Today we have enabled an additional IP address for the primary SpursTalk.com web server - from the new internet address range, IPv6.

IPv6 (or as it was known for a while, the next generation of Internet) is a new addressing scheme that will in the future years replace the existing IPv4 internet addresses as we all know and become used to over the years. For the vast majority of users, this changes absolutely nothing, as the server is still reachable over the old legacy IPv4 address 91.185.193.217 and will continue for the foreseable future.

For those on the bleeding edge of networking, the server is also reachable on the new address 2a02:840:1:400:0:5a:b:ba11. Thus we are joining the rapidly growing club of IPv6-enabled sites, among whose you can find giants such as Google, Youtube and others.

Again, don't let this tech talk scare you. www.spurstalk.com will always bring you to your favorite board, no matter what internet connection are you using. But when your internet provider will switch to IPv6 a few years from now and you'll enter the brave new world - SpursTalk.com will be there waiting for you! :)
