Questioned about the trade-deadline rumors that had shooting guard O.J. Mayo possibly going to Golden State, Grizzlies owner Michael Heisley explained that the discussions never really got anywhere, and that he might be reluctant to talk much with the Warriors in the future.
“Golden State called us at one point, and we called them at one point,” Heisley told the Memphis Commercial Appeal. “It never got together and couldn’t be done. I’m not going to go into what it was; what we would do and not do. … It just so happens that Golden State has diarrhea of the mouth.”
