1) I'm assuming we want the Suns knocked out more than any other team in the West right now, so who would be a tougher matchup for PHX? Dallas or Houston? I think Dallas, cuz even though their D isnt as good as houston's their offense is significantly better and they can keep up with the suns run and gun game.

2) I know we won the season series against the suns but lately they seem unstoppable. You collapse the lane they kill you from outside, you guard the 3 point line and amare dunks you to death, so how do you stop the suns? just keep challenging shots and hope for the best?

and here's a joke for random fun......

Why'd the girl fall off the swing?

Why would the SPurs want PHX out? They have the best record in the league, and as a fan I would like to see the Spurs knock PHX out. Nash is getting old and broken down they are ripe for an asswhoopin by the Spurs, again.

Houston would definitely be a tougher matchup. Dallas/Phoenix would just turn into a shootout, and I have no doubt Phoenix would win that. Houston has one of the best defenses in the league, and would slow down Phoenix run'n'gun, and force them to win in a halfcourt game. Phoenix has no true center, and would have Amare matched up on Yao. A grossly undersized C against a monstrously oversized C. In the opencourt, Amare would win, if it goes to a half, Yao would eat him alive. Houston's offense is no slouch, either.

i know you gotta play the best to get the championship but i personally would like the spurs chances more against dallas/houston than phoenix. suns are playing the best bball of the playoffs right now. i'm not saying they'd necessarily beat SA in a 7 game series but i'd much rather play HOU or DAL in the conf. finals

I think Dallas, cuz even though their D isnt as good as houston's their offense is significantly better and they can keep up with the suns run and gun game.Theoretically, if Yao Ming could stay out of foul trouble, Phoenix has nobody that can guard him.

And, JVG knows how to slow teams down in the playoffs. Phoenix might run, but they wouldn't necessarily get easy looks.

Houston's biggest problem would be matching up with Shawn Marion.

Last year the Grizzlies made the Spurs look like the greatest group of players ever to pick up an orange ball.

Houstons biggest problem right now is getting past Dallas. That has been a CRAZY series...

I'd say Mavs and Rockets are essentially even in talent to oppose the Suns, but I go with the more playoff-experienced Jeff over Avery to prepare the Rockets better, and better in-game/end-game coaching.

Yao's inability to stay on the court is really hurting the Rockets, who become too dependent on Tracy being hot.

Rick Kemla was saying it's very hard/rare for evenly matched teams to win 3 playoff games in a row, so he's going with the Rockets tonight. I'm going with the Rockets, too.

I want the best teams playing at their best in the playoffs. The only team that worries me is Denver, because of their potential to lose control and hurt someone out of frustration and unprofessionalism. I don't *think* any of the other teams, even Seattle have that same potential for being dirty. That is more of a non-basketball related concern.

If it's a matter of playing basketball, the only way the Spurs lose is if they beat themselves.

you would think that home court would eventually come into play in this series...I think Dallas made a nice recovery from going down by two on their home court and definitely have the momentum...does anyone ever remember a series that went to the 5th game without either team winning at home? Thats friggen wild...

The only team I care about seeing get knocked out of the west right now is Denver.

Exactly what I was thinking.
